Poor Lily Allen: she can't even get her shine on for the conventional "going to rehab for exhaustion excuse" since the tiny Brit's Elton John related-meltdown was overshadowed this year by both Kirsten Dunst's (shocking!) and Amy Winehouse's (expected!). So did she or didn't she? Either way the Smile singer is cleaned up and dried out, but you know, doesn't really have any plans of keeping herself that way for the rest of her life.

"I have no intention of taking drugs again at the moment," she said. "But I can't say 'Never again,' because I don't know where I'll be in 10 years' time. And I will definitely drink in the future, just not for awhile."

Um yeah, that's why the programs say take things one day at a time. Because real talk: if you think about never drinking again for your entire life, you will inevitably freak out and start drinking immediately over the seemingly insurmountable task. And if you replace "heroin" and "speedballs" with "alcohol," then you are pretty much Allen's counselor right now.

Lily Allen has accused the media of giving Amy Winehouse a “hard time”, and insisted that the singer is “very different” in real life.
“Yes, she does get out of her mind on drugs sometimes, but she is also a very clever, intelligent, witty, funny person who can hold it together,” Allen told Scotland on Sunday.
Allen, a personal friend of the singer, said the media's scrutiny of Winehouse meant the public “don't see that side”.
She also claimed that the press treated her and Winehouse differently to other females.
