The Tabloids Show No Sympathy for Madonna & Guy Ritchie
Love hurts. Breakups hurt more.

Ooooh, they've gone and done it. After shafting them last week by releasing news of the divorce after the tabloids hit newsstands, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are being paid back by the celeb weeklies with less than favorable reports. Only People, long in bed with Madonna's camp via rep Liz Rosenebrg, attempts any sense of kid glove treatment with the coverline, but inside they detail the "battle" over David Banda and Rocco. Us Weekly and OK!, running with nearly identical photos as People, are notable for what they don't provide: Neither sides with Madonna nor Guy here, instead painting them both as loathsome characters.

But most interesting this week are the Bauer tabloids take: In Touch went with a Jennifer Aniston-Courteney Cox "Yes We Had Plastic Surgery" tale and Life & Style opted for Angelina Jolie "admitting" to a love affair. And that's half the job of a celeb weekly editor: Predicting what the other magazines are going to run with, and either trying to do it better, or move on another angle. Bless them, because a world without obsessing over Madonna's divorce is one we'd choose to live in.

If I had a choice I'd go with almost anything else to. But - the readers are tired of Angelina, I WILL NOT give that ridiculous 'Jennifer Aniston' is pregnant fabrication any play, and basically it's the same old same old's doing anything interesting.

At least Madge and Guy haven't really been covered to exhaustion (by me at least) so they have that 'new to you' glamour about them. Sometimes that's good enough ^_^

The whole Madonna/ Guy Ritchie divorce is a mess. It's crazy. If I were here I would sell the diamond engagement ring and jewelry Guy Ritchie gave her to http://www.idonowidont.com and close the book on this marriage once and for all! This is what I did when I divorced my cheating Hubby!

No one in America cares about Madonna anymore partly because she married a British guy. He's boring, lazy and likes to drink? Yawn. Same for Angelina. These tabloids for 4 yrs have been so off the mark about her and Pitt. Everyone has moved on except the cluster of Aniston fans who still light the candles every Wednesday.

Key, it's amazing that Angelina covers are the #1 sellers in the rag mag business even though the "readers are tired of Angelina." Wonder how that works?? Perhaps you should check your "sources" on this.

There is no way readers are tired of the Angie/Brad/Jen triangle. I'll bet the two mags with Jen and Angie will outsell the others by a wide margin.

Doubt those covers outsell any other cover because it's Bauer's Life & Style. One of the two Bauer pubs (In Touch being the other) that have for the past 4 yrs put Brad and Angelina on practically all of their 52 covers each year. They're covers are 99% outrageous and just plain lies as nothing they ever scream about ever happens. People aren't stupid
