In a bid for new viewership now that their cash cow's star power is on the wane just a teensy bit, Disney is trying to get Malia and Sasha Obama on Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana program for a guest appearance.

This, despite the fact that the Obamas swore after that Access Hollywood interview that they would never put their children in front of the cameras again.

So who is perpetuating the rumors that the Obamas are going to change their mind and allow their daughters to make his daughter more famous? Big pappa Billy Ray, natch:

Cyrus, the father of "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus and also an actor on the hit Disney Channel show, said the show had asked Malia, 10, and Sasha Obama, 7, to take part in an episode possibly around April.

"They probably will. The invitation is there," Cyrus told Access Hollywood in an interview. "You know the 'Hannah Montana' film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then."

Yeah, fuck it. Why not. It's not like the Obamas actually seem like they are trying to raise well-adjusted kids by keeping them out of the public spotlight as much as possible (even though to do so entirely would be a futile task, although look how well McCain did with all his kids that weren't Meghan!). Just throw them up there with a little cross-promotion, like maybe Hannah Montana 2: White House Boogaloo or something, and watch the money trucks dump their cash onto your front lawn.

And someone please tell us why Access Hollywood seems to always be behind this.
