… for courageously keeping Beyonce's skin color in tact. And yes, we live in a world, and a publishing industry, where a magazine must be congratulated for not distorting a black girl's blackness. L'Oreal, of course, is still on our black white list.

I don't believe the skin lightening rumors. I'm mixed, and my skin tone varies in photos all of the time and also depending on the weather. I also work as a graphics editor, and a lot of times brightening an image or creating a deeper contrast will alter the skin tone.
Just saying.

You guys obviously did not see all of the photos. Elle whitewashed Beyonce even more than Loreal. I am sure they would probably call it "artistic" though.
