First move was Colbert's: bump Kanye from the number one slot on iTunes by buying A Very Colbert Christmas. Next it was Kanye's Twitter post about not knowing who the fuck Stephen Colbert was. Now this staged feud goes a step further with this on-air Colbert Show rebuttal. And even though it's all done as a goof, Stephen does bring up a valid point: Shut the fuck up Kanye.

colbert doesn't have that many musical guests. He's missing out on having rockstars on as guests, unless they are bono.

I agree w/ everyone. Colbert is a genius and Kanye needs to be humbled. However, I think the reviews for his new album will do the job itself. He really can't sing and shouldn't attempt to. If I wanted a cd with nice vocal melodies I'd just buy John Legend's instead.
And by the way, Colbert has tons of great and diverse musical guests Bill. He's establish stronger relationships with them in the couple years he's been on than most. That's why he was able to do a whole christmas special with John Legend, Feist, etc (some of the most tasteful and new names in the business). Tons of bands come on like Wilco and Crosby, Stills, and Nash and do song specifically for the Colbert Report, and Apples in Stereo are almost the house band….Great musical guests is one thing he doesn't lack…I think Kanye might appear on his show to try to fix this seeing as how Colbert is super popular among the young hip crowd, but we'll see how genuine he comes across. I don't think Kanye 'gets' Colbert, whereas John Legend does. Kanye's pretty ignorant, he just has a really smart team behind him.
