How Much Did Ricky Martin Get for His Spanish People Cover?

Ey, ey, ey! Everyone's favorite Livin La Vida Loca crooner is out…on the cover of People Espanol with his two twins that he made courtesy of a turkey baster and a willing female friend. Of course, Martin is still happily "straight," in the way that Anderson Cooper is straight and Clay Aiken was, until his People debut.

But if there is one thing we learned from the Aiken debacle, besides the fact that his fans are creepily invested in his heterosexuality, it's that People isn't willing to shell out Brangelina money for just any old closeted homo with some kids. So what was the price for the Ricky Martin cover?

Conventional wisdom would tell us: not that much. First of all, Time Inc. has less money after the big recession staff cuts, and have already promised that they wouldn't be shelling out those $7 million covers anymore…unless of course, Angelina gets preggo again.

Secondly: Martin is a ghei, whether he's out or not, and the homosexual community can't shill their children for as much money as their breeder counterparts. How much did Clay's cover make? $500,000. And Ricky's cover isn't even coming out to English-only-speaking America, but to our Spanglish friends.

The final deal price? Something in the very low six digits for Ricky's spread, and he's lucky to get even that.

$3,000,000. were offered by People as donation for Ricky Martin Foundation. Ricky wasn't able to find a woman and true love since he was spending most of the time on myspace chatting with sluts and gays. That's no longer secret among his fans. His "activities" have been revealed recently on one of his forums. The disappointment of his fans is enormus. Go to Univision for more information.

I read that Clay didn't accept any payment for that cover, not personally, not for charity, not for his foundation. 0 dollars.

And he's damned happy to be out as are most of his fans. The crazies will always be around. Clay's new BF is Wicked cute, by the way. Heh.

Clay did not receive one red cent for his story on People. But then that wouldn't be as much fun to gossip about now would it. And until I see the cancelled check, I have to take all of this with a salt lick.
