Why is Warner Bros. so concerned about who might take the stage to accept Heath Ledger's posthumous Golden Globe, should he win? Because it may be their only chance to trumpet the Joker actor with a prestigious award. The studio supposedly wants Ledger's former lover Michelle Williams to accept the Globe on his behalf, according to R&M, while others say The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan or co-star Christian Bale should take the stage. And yet, Ledger's father Kim, who accepted an Aussie Award on his behalf last weekend, is also a contender. Their decision for the Globes acceptance is all the more important, since few foresee Ledger actually winning the grand prize, an Academy Award.
After all, only one person in Oscar history has won the award after dying, and that's Network's Peter Finch. (James Dean, Spencer Tracy, and Massimo Troisi were all nominated posthumously; Jeanne Eagels was the only actress to do so.) For what it's worth, though: Accepting the Oscar on Finch's behalf was his widow, Eletha. So maybe Ms. Williams will be appearing on-stage sometime soon.

If Heath was to win anything his family(dad,daughter,whatever) should do it, not some just random fuck. Nolan could seeings how it was his direction that gave us a Joker we could love. Those two fugly ass olson kids should be dropped from the theater rooftop for being so stupid in hiring retards who could have saved his life instead of callin one of them and not police… but fuck all that for now. he deserves a win for his role.
