Remember the glory days of Britney, Jamie-Lynn, and Lynn Spears? When the two-generational trio could basically walk outside for a latte and end up on the cover of OK!? Of course, back then Jamie-Lynn was pregnant, Lynn was writing a book, and Britney's cries for medical attention were so loud you couldn't ignore them if you tried (we tried). But now it's 2009, the economy sucks, and Kent Brownridge is putting the axe on Britney's fam stealing the limelight of his mag. Or is he?

Before his arrival, the Spears family sold OK! ex clusives on everything from Jamie Lynn's pregnancy to Britney's first photo shoot with her kids. Now patri arch Jamie Spears refuses to work with OK!, and the mag bans its staff from Spears events.

Um, then again Brit is currently on the cover of OK! this month, so it looks like the umbilical cord is still a little too lucrative to be cut…although we know Kent is just waiting with his hands folded for Miley Cyrus to crack and become his next golden goose.
