How long before PETA comes out and complains that there are too many PLANES flying and endangering the GEESE? Mental Midgets

Perfect example of when all the stars line up. First, an ex-Air Force fighter pilot as the pilot. A plane load of decent passengers, a crash into a river running through NYC. If this had happened in the middle of the Atlantic, it would have been a catastrophe. If it landed on NYC, it would have been a catastrophe. And right in the middle of a city that has a coast guard, ferries, and a great land rescue team/procedure.

boy, HMS, you ain't kidding! I thought about all that when this happened. not only is the guy an ex-AF pilot, he runs a company that consults about performing your job in a crisis.

I thought it was so wonderful how the commuter ferry was right there, and immediately went to help. the ferry passengers apparently threw life vests and ropes to the crash victims and helped as much as they could until the Coast Guard arrived.

I can't even imagine how scary that must have been for them.
