Which explains why, when Joe Biden and wife Jill hit Oprah, Mrs. Vice President-Elect came armed with some witty banter — like how her husband had the choice of being secretary of state or vice president. Funny, nobody ever mentioned this before. Not even Hillary Clinton!

Joe Biden's wife's "slip" about being offered both the VP position and secretary of state was as authentic as Kate Winslet forgetting Angelina Jolie at the Golden Globes. This slip was obviously staged to stroke Biden's giant ego.

Forgive me Rosemary but you are naive…Jill Biden's slip was just that. The Obama spokesman came out very quickly and refuted it, a sure sign taht it was true. I wonder what Hillary Clinton thinks of being offered sloppy seconds…These Biden's are going to be real fun to watch for the next four years…

I think Joe will be a great Vice President, he's very personable and homey, very smart without being erudite, very knowledgeable about world affairs.
Hillary Clinton will be a great Secretary of State. She's very smart, less personable, pushy in a good way, has the ear of her husband, who is liked all over the world (except maybe in Wyoming.:) She'll get the job done, as long as she remembers that Barak is her boss.

Good thing he didn't become secretary of state. His wife's big mouth could cause serious diplomatic gaffs in a Martha Mitchell sort of way. She can't get into too much trouble with her husband only attending funerals. He is quite capable of getting into trouble from his own words though.
