Granted, Hackelnat, the man has not done anything illegal. "Wrong," however, is open for interpretation, and just as he has freedom of speech, so do the rest of us. With that freedom comes the realization that one may say what one wants, but it does not protect you from consequences, e.g., boycotting a business, being held in disdain, being singled out or being lauded and praised. The government, likewise, theoretically cannot imprison this man for speaking his opinion, tho' there may be passages of that nasty Patriot Act that can change that basic right (argh). Also, I think that if he was just making the correlation between Obama and Lincoln coming from Illinois, he would have been more clear and would have closed the door to another more sinister interpretation.

If both women's stories are corroborated and/or other proof surfaces that the man stated "He will get his" or similar statements, his words may constitute an incitement to violence (different than free "hate speech"). To me it's amazing how so many people claim their offended at these cookies. Their Just Cookies you dorks!
