This is not an "easy" sketch, in that it requires some working knowledge of what's actually going on in the world America to understand the jokes. Majority in the house and senate to approve an economic stimulus package? Can you imagine this shit being run by Mike Meyers and Dana Carvey? Luckily (?) we're at a point right now where Americans are so fucking freaked out about the state of the economy that they will take news any way they can, and if that means in the form of Kirstin Wiig and the guy who is marrying Peggy from Mad Men, so be it.

Not particularly smart. Not particularly funny. You have to be pretty desperate to be up on a Saturday night watching a show that is decades past its prime anyways.
Except Nancy announces herself as "House Majority Leader," which was intended to be funny in that she wanted the same title as Reid. Problem is, there already IS a House Majority Leader (Steny Hoyer) and he is below Pelosi, so she would be demoting herself, not promoting herself if she announced herself that way.
For anyone who things it's nerdy/douchy to point this out, I'm not the one who works at SNL is trying to be all "smart" and stuff.
