Now that the Obamas are on top, vicious, disgusting, racist hell demons like Rush Limbaugh have already started lining up and hoping for their downfall. To avoid the "I told you so"s, the First Family is going to have to work harder at being "normal" than any of their predecessors. Here, five actions of other politicians and political families that the Obamas could never get away with.
Get pregnant with an ignorant thug's child
Sarah Palin's unwed, 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, admitted to the world that she was five month's with child in September of last year, just weeks after her mother joined the Republican presidential ticket. The father? Bristol's classmate Levi Johnston, also 17 at the time. On Johnston's MySpace page – promptly removed when his name was being bandied about CNN – he had boasted, "I'm a fuckin' redneck," and, "Ya fuck with me I'll kick [your] ass." Soon after the pregnancy became national news, Johnston dropped out of high school and began illegally working in an oil field. Later, his mother was arrested for selling prescription pills. None of this mattered to Republican leaders, of course, who quickly came to the aid of the Palins and commended Bristol's "courage." Can you imagine the outcry from the same Republicans were Malia Obama to get pregnant while still single and underage? Now think of how rabid the Fox News shouting heads would be if the father of that child were a self-proclaimed "fuckin' thug" and threat-making high school dropout whose mother was a drug dealer. The condescending bitching sessions about the "ostensible celebration of black stereotypes" would be deafening.
Abuse drugs
Especially because Barack has admitted to using weed and coke in the past, any drug abuse by his two daughters would undoubtedly be spun as evidence of an inherited predilection for substances. And god forbid either one gets arrested, sent to rehab and then imprisoned for a probation violation, as Noelle Bush, daughter of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, did.
Chappaquiddick
Um, really nobody should be able to get away scot-free with killing a young woman while drinking and driving, but Barack Obama definitely could not.
Blast Israel
Insane as it is, many people still question Barack Obama's citizenship, commitment to America and religion. It's these simpletons who make it so Obama could never come out against Israel the way Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich has. Were Obama, like Kucinich, to call Israel's recent attacks on Gaza "disproportionate, indiscriminate mass violence in violation of international law," he could kiss any hope of reelection goodbye, as the loons would finally be certain he's an angry Muslim out to destroy the US as head of the most powerful fifth column in the nation's history.
Have sexual relations with a white intern
One theory easy to find on the Internet is that if Barack Obama had married a white woman, he would not be president. Because we are a screwy nation of cowards with an ugly racial history, many Americans of every background are still hung up on what color people other people sleep with. To these bitter saddies, were Michelle Obama white, that would say something horrible about Barack, thus rendering him unelectable. That in mind, were Barack to not just cheat on Michelle, but cheat on her with a white woman (one who fancied berets, perhaps), the backlash would come from both blacks and whites, Democrats and Republicans. And 50 bucks says Bill Clinton would be nowhere to be found for comment.

You forgot the biggest "can't do." Barack Obama can't start a giant war and award his buddies lucrative no bid contracts, can't offer huge tax breaks to corporations which coincidentally greatly benefit his family and friends or directly award 350 billion directly to bankers and insurance execs of his choice (aig, but not lehman bro. For example). He can't do stuff like that and keep doing it until the treasury coffers are empty — oh, my bad, they already are.

There's a good reason why America isn't critical about Bristol and Levi's circumstance. For one they have a good family support system. Second they are engaged to be married. Thirdly they both plan to further their schooling. Which is quite different in the black community.
Black teens have the highest pregnancy rate in America (134 per 1,000) and (48 per 1,000 in whites).
35% of blacks are living below the poverty level (in other words receiving government assistance) as opposed to 17% of whites.
Black males continue to be incarcerated at an alarming rate. They make up 35.4% of the jail and prison population even though they make up less than 10% of the U.S. population.
4% of black males were in prison last year as opposed to .7% of whites. In other words black males were locked up 6 times the rate of their white counterparts.
I'm not saying all blacks contribute to this problem but there are definite significant stats. to prove why Americans are more prone to frown upon blacks in the same circumstance.

1. You are misrepresenting data to stereotype people

A. That doesn't mean they are all receiving government assistance.
B. That is 35% of Black people who make up ONLY 14% of the U.S. population as opposed to 17% of 70% of the U.S. Population—- Do the Math Plenty of White people are on Welfare (I worked at a grocery store in an almost all White town trust me)
2. You are making a non-sequitur argument
Bristol and Levi come from a Upper Middle Class background hence the decisions they made were and are dependent on the choices their economic status lend them
All these pregnant, welfare-hoarding Black- Non Americans you were so quick to describe aren't in the same income bracket as The Palins.
If want to make a comparison to between "Black people" and "White people" then make them between people in the same monetary class.
Like the The Jacksons (Jesse Jackson's Family). Or the Obamas.

Thank you for enlightening me, but I still stand my ground. I've worked in the medical field for almost 10 years and have seen many more minorities receiving government assistance than white people, yet they have name brand shoes and clothes, have their nails done and are carrying around cell phones. I'm having to budget just so my son can have braces, I pay a significant amount of money each month in health insurance. It's discouraging to say the least when I see people taking government assistance for granted. Why is this? One may never know, you can do all the research in the world but it comes down to accountability and having a sense of pride for what you work for.

Let's set aside the fact that your comments ignores the fact that there is an expanding "Black middle class" who follows the law and works hard and takes responsibility.

The conversation you're trying to have about an individuals value system: food versus "bling" in poorer "Black Communities".
Is comparable to food versus alcohol in poorer "White communities".
I'm going to make the assumption that you live in an urban area so the majority of the poor people you see are Black.
If you travel the country a little more, like go to the Appalachia area or just rural parts of your state.
You'll realize the world of poverty, crime and work ethic isn't as "Black and White" as you're trying to frame it.
I know it's a common American staple to rant about all of us Black people who want to take hand outs and not work.
But please understand it's a theory which has no real basis in fact and is common across all races when applied to class.
Simply put: your apparent indignation is rooted in bigotry and misconception.

(yep she worked all MLK day and the night before used the drive up at the dairy queen in the middle of winter in alaska for ice cream cones, she said that on the glenn beck show and even he didn't believe her.)
palin's oldest son is a drop out too. forced to join the military to avoid jail.

on Bristol & Levi, hopefully they will never marry. I fear it would just put an innocent child in a (further)hopeless situation. GED while commendable to remaining a dropout, is not the same as a high school diploma / graduation, nor is "corespondence".
The poor population of Miss. or Louisiana is not the same as the "bling poor" white people I see in Oregon. Getting food stamps and/or housing because you have absolutely nothing is way different then receiving the same while you drive a nice car and have a cell phone (ie: Dallas OR)

@Kelli: Mainly because people read your post and felt you were beneath contempt. It is unfortunate that your job makes it necessary for you to rub shoulders with (for lack of a better term) losers but to judge a whole race on the low income uneducated people that you encounter in your job is just ignorant. To judge the President by these people a man who has been an example of excellence his whole life is silly and racist. Maybe you should go back to school get a better education and you would have a job where you encountered a better class of people.
It should be noted that it was Barack's caucasian mother who instilled in him the professional drive that got him to the presidency. His African father was a deadbeat. Obama may have black skin, but he is the product of a caucasian culture's work ethic.
