Because sports fans will usually always forgive a player, A-Hole decided to admit his guilt. So sick of thugs like him making the big money and all they do is break the rules and laws of the sport for which they are wayyyy overly compensated to play. Sadly, the very fans that do not have two nickels to rub together in this recession will stand behind this schmuck who will continue making ridiculous sums of money, banging that old mattress Madonna, and thumbing his nose at the laws that regular people HAVE to follow. C'mon folks step up to the plate and demand that he be punished with a long suspension or better yet that they fire him and recruit a young hungry kid who has more talent and less baggage to bring to the stadium.

while what you say is usually true (about fans forgiving) I'm not so sure about that in this case. A-Rod has a rep among Yankee fans…they don't like him much. Jeter is much more loved, and he and A-Rod's "friendship" has deteriorated over the past couple years. Torre also doesn't like him much, and people in NYC still LOVE Joe Torre. People will side with them over A-Rod, in my opinion. Also, add to that the whole Madonna thing, and A-Rod has sort of become a joke in NY.

I was listening to a NY radio station the other day and they were asking people to call and text in on their opinions on A-Rod. As in, should he stay or should he go. It was almost unanimous that he should go.
