CNN's silver fox stopped by a Bay Ridge school on Friday to talk about being a reporter, and how much he doesn't like to hear himself talk. For someone who is on the news every goddamn night, Cooper sure made it a point to mention twice while talking to these kids how much he doesn't like to hear himself talk. Oh well, guess it's always good to teach them early to be humble, right?
He spoke about being shot at for the first time, and told students considering a career as a news anchor to “try to resist becoming a blowhard.”
"Hey kids, when you come from Vanderbilt blood, attend Dalton, and then go to Yale for college, it's always good to keep it real. Thug Life. Don't be a blowhard." I imagine then Cooper dropped the mic, said "Coop, out!" and left the stage.

I guess in Anderson's defense, he should have said "try not to resist blow{ing} me." That is, if you're under 25, latino, live in Chelsea, wear tight tee-shirts, and don't mind walking two steps behind me whenever a camera is around. Oh, and pretend you don't know me if we run into each other at Equinox.
Anderson doesn't flaunt his Vanderbilt background and is actually pretty low key about it. The only people who want to jump on him for something he can't do anything about are smartass bloggers. And why does every discussion about Anderson have trigger comments about his sexuality?

Drew, have you watched many other cable news shows? Anderson's lack of theatrical speeches, opining, yelling and bullying make him comparatively a very quiet and unassuming cable presence.
Telling kids to get into this business should be a crime. But, get a Journalism degree so you don't have to take Algebra, Science, and Economics is a reason why we have a shortage of engineers, scientists, and doctors.

Never seem to hear of Julio Cesar or any other date attending events like the Vanity Fair party with Anderson. If they do, he certainly never walks in with Anderson.
