Jessica Simpson is biting back at all the critics of her fuller figure, which seem to mostly just exist in her head since all the 'rags are too busy giving her back-handed compliments about her weight gain to actually be outright cruel. Simpson is going on a "revenge diet" to lose 20 pounds, as was reported saying in OK! this week, despite the fact that her boyfriend apparently "doesn't care less" that she's gained the weight. Soo…she's losing weight to reinforce the stereotype of body ideals that her detractors would have her adhere to? Yeah, I guess that's one way to fight the patriarchy.

Uh, Jessica didn't "tell OK" she's going on a revenge diet. She didn't talk to OK at all, which is obvious when you actually read the story. It's all from "a friend" of hers. In other words, it's made up like all the rest of OK's bullshit, which explains why they'll have folded by summer.

Sometimes I seriously feel like I'm a middle school teacher grading student's papers reading this website…between the spelling/grammatical errors and the factual errors…now this time it's like I have to explain that tabloids will always say stars are doing this or that or losing weight or pregnant or cheating or what have you. And, here's the kicker…THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY ARE. Unless Jessica Simpson gave an on-camera interview saying "I'm going to lose 20 pounds", don't believe things you read in OK! or Us Weekly or any other glossy celebrity rag out there.

Seriously, is this for real?!
