A 17-year old student at Dalton — the school that Gossip Girl's Constance Billard is based on — jumped to his death yesterday from an 11th story window of a dance classroom. That is obviously the most tragic thing you're going to hear today, so you might as well pack up your computer and call your mom for the remainder of the afternoon.

Apparently the suicide barely missed a group of school kids that were playing outside. Those poor kids! The suicide's poor parents!

I witnessed my great uncle Oliver jump from the fourth floor of our summer home in Nantucket. He landed with a splat on top of my mom's pug (named Rufus).

My mom and the rest of the family were so upset about Rufus. Noone cared about Oliver.

The suicide had a name it was Teddy short for Theodore and your post is heartless and lacks any compassion. No one knows at this point what prompted this bright and intelligent young man to end his life in such a violent way. The Oliver/pug analogy is just plain wrong and insensitive as hell. Hopefully his family will somehow make it through this horrible ordeal especially his younger brother who also attends the same school.
