Arianna Huffington's Sad Version of Feminism

huffpogirls

Arianna Huffington's eponymous website has been working for months to diversify its content, moving away from just politics to other verticals, including business, the environment, "living," and entertainment. With the election over and political sites seeing their readership slide, the Huffington Post recognized the importance of any decent investor's mantra: diversify. And so they have — at their peril. As it stands, two of the site's most popular stories deal with ladies' "wardrobe malfunctions," a silly and sanitized term for "nip slips." It's what makes sites like Egotastic.com generate tens of millions of pageviews a month. And for Huffington, what's good for the goose …

How the progressives degenerate into frivolous, aristocratic behavior when their guard drops…

Congratulations go out to Arianna. By diversifying her site and adding numerous other umbrella subjects that she'll cover… she's invented the USA Today.

Kudos!

Interesting. Arianna lives right where I was born. At least she did when she tried to get the office that Arnold Schwarzenegger now holds. He beat her in the election.
Maybe Dianne Feinstein will try again.

Arianna was a republican while she was married to the gay, billionaire republican.

@Rhonda: She has said many times she woke up and realized that it was a hateful exclusionary school of thought. I saw her say in a speech she saw the highest echelons of the conservative party ( remember she mixed with congressmen, senators , and presidents) and realized it was a self-seeking hypocritical ideology. Her words not mine. She spent many years in the highest annals of power in the conservative party and her exposure turned her into a democrat.

During the Balkan wars of the 1990s, Huffington opposed United States intervention in the crisis. That's when she got her first enjoyable attention from antiwar left wingers. She changes politics like she changes men. Which is about as often as a crack whore.

I actually know little about Arianna. It's just that she was living where I was born. Near the old Loamshier hospital in Santa Monica.

I used to read the huff.post daily.
After a year or so I became aware that, just like fix noise, this post is so far to the LEFT as foxy is to the right.
It is 100% one sided and very opinionated.
This is not for someone who wants to read more than one side of a story.

Getreal,

thanks for clearing that up for me. All this time I thought it was the gay guys "billions" but it was the hateful ideaolgy of the Republican party that woke her from the fog she was in.

Sorry Mr. Outrage.
USA today was founded in 1982 by Allen Neuharth.

So Arianna screwed the Republican, took his money, and then came out as a lefty? Isn't that what all liberals do, dahling?

@fanofgrendel: Actually he tricked her into a sham marriage because based on his background he knew his conservative friends and relatives would reject him if they knew he was actually gay. Conservatives in the country believe it is justified to treat gay people as 2nd class citizens in this country to deny them equal rights and break up their families. So this man knew that his political brothers and sister would shun him if he expressed who he really was. It must have been terrible for him eventually they divorced and because they lived in a community property state they split the marital assets. All jokes aside it must have been a terrible ordeal for them and their family sometimes a struggle in our personal lives realigns our perceptions. I think that happened to ariana huffington. Just because has different political views than you does not mean they are inherently wrong.
