Jennifer Lopez Pulls Off Brilliant Jewel Heist

jennifer_lopez04
Wow, Jennifer Lopez is totally going to go down — along with Sarah Palin — as the biggest female grifter of the new millennium. Get this: J. Lo reportedly "borrowed" $50,000 worth of trinkets from the Swiss jeweler Robert Mouawad to attend the launch of Andrea Lieberman's fashion line and then called to say that she planned on keeping them.

Not "pay for them," mind you. Just "">a call from [her manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry." Mouawad's people were all like "Sure, whatever you say, Ms. J. Lo." Because really, isn't Jennifer's endorsement priceless? (Sure, if this was 1999 and anyone still cared about Bennifer. Now Gigi is in the past and Marc Anthony will probably end up hawking the baubles to pay for his next blood transfusion. ::Shudder::)

Meanwhile the couple plans on suing a baby carriage company that tried to get rich off the duo's image without giving them a slice of the sales. How dare anyone make cash off of J. Lo's visage besides J. Lo!

Another of your pathetic bits of drivel that includes the name of Sarah Palin so that people will actually read it, pathetic.

By the way, a grifter is someone who makes money dishonestly, how do you figure Palin does that? She's turned down a pay raise, sold the governors private plane, eliminated the governors cook, cut her security detail in half, drives herself to work in her own car, doesn't sound like a grifter to me. Just those things alone have saved Alaskan taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There is no accounting for no counts who can not tell if Alaskans are saving money or losing money on the Great Governor's savings for her state.

Wouldn't you rather sleep with jewelry rather than Marc Anthony?

@Mary Lou Welz:
She posts ALL Alaska spending online…She actually has a transparent style of Governing, unlike President Obama. He lied when he said that all proposed spending bills would be available online for 5 days before he would sign it. He rushed the Trillion dollar spending in 2 days, and online, just a unsearchable PDF file. CHANGE.

David, I assume you are another low class so-called journalist that want to get his piece read by mentioning Sarah Palin's name in an article having nothing to do with her. Well your article succeeds in getting you read, but it also succeeds in showing what a poor example of journalist ethics you represent. Did you never study how journalism is practice by real professionals? Why don't you do something productive and get a job.

Let's see, Palin did not fire the cook, she just has the same job with a different title. She sold the plane for a loss, and she drives her car to work, then charges that state, like her phone calls she makes to Fox News. I also think that the comparison to no talent JLo is an apt one. If people don't like what they read at this site, then why do you bother? Shouldn't you be wearing your tin foil hats and be listening to Rush?

I am hardly a fan of Sarah Palin but a grifter? Please! We all know she had campaign handlers and they obviously told her she needed to spiff up and gave her the means to do it. Whether it was a good idea or not is another subject but I don't think she tricked the republican party into taking her on shopping sprees.

@Jules:

Ahh, Jules, another seminar ACORN poster.

The jet was purchased on credit. And when it was all said and done, the state didn't lose a damned dime on the deal, once the dust settled.

She legally gets a per diam, no matter what she does, when she isn't in Juneau.

And "paid for the Fox calls", where do you stupid liberals come up with this BS? I mean do you honestly think humans are as stupid as liberals? Grow up.

The cook, was indeed reassigned, to fill an open job. So, technically she wasn't "fired", but since she filled a vacancy, it was a net savings, stupid.

The fact is, Palin has saved the state $900,000 in the past two years on expenses for the Governor's office, over the last two Governors same time period.

You, Jules, are an idiot!

And, what's wrong with listening to Rush Limbaugh? I bet you never have. If you had you'd learn something. I'm a proud Rush Limbaugh listener of 20 years. I'm proud to be part of the most well informed and intelligent group in modern day broadcasting.

Oh, and how about the fact that the Troopergate" witch hunters are now being paid off by Obama with jobs?

And how about the fact that it turns out the law they used to go after her, wasn't even the right one, and may void the whole thing.

Just another day for Chicago/ACORN thugs like Obama, and his new Alaskan buddies Hollis French and Kim Elton!

It'll be cool to see them all in Orange jumpsuits together.

By the way, for the readers who don't know what I am talking about, The Obama administration, through ACORN is paying nationally known bloggers and newspaper columnists to smear Sarah Palin. Look for a major story on this very soon.

Also, these nationally known libtard bloggers and columnists are trying to pose as Alaskans on the local newspaper message boards. But they have been exposed, and the locals are not happy.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin is the most successful Governor in the country!

@getreal:

You are right, of course. Let me give you the skinny on the wardrobe.

Jeff Larson, a friend of Senator Norm Coleman's, and a big GOP donor, thought he should "do something" and went out on his own, and went shopping. He did this without telling anyone.

This is why the clothes were bought in several sizes. He wasn't sure. You know if the Governor shopped for her self, she wouldn't have gotten the same outfit in three sizes! Most of the clothes were never worn. Of course, this sure made the bill higher.

Even better, since a person cannot legally donate that much money, the GOP was put in the awkward position of reimbursing Larson for the expenses!

And that's the story of Sarah's "big shopping spree!"

All of a sudden the IRS and the State of Alaska are hot on the trail of Palin's fraudulent claims - and this is only the beginning. There's plenty more fraud to come. Stay tuned.

Palin and her family are world-class grifters. Her worshipers can say what they like, but they can't stop justice.

If all you can do is gossip about Gov. Palin's wardrobe during the campaign, then you must have a lot of time on your hands!! What you need to be writing about is the path to poverty that Barack Obama is taking you and everyone else in this country down. You need to take a real good look at this man and his staff. Obama brings to mind the childhood fairy tale about the emperor who wore no clothes. When you take a good hard look at Obama's lack of experience, etc., you'll see that he isn't wearing anything.

My Alaskan Governor doesn't need jewels, implants, or collagen to make her one of the most popular Governors. She is one lovely person, with truth in her heart.

She makes her nay-sayers gnash their teeth with her straight forward method of keeping our state in the black.

The best you can do is pair her name with some hollywood slu… supposed starlet in hopes of getting page hits. You got your 15 minutes of fame. Now, go back to journalism school and learn how to do your job in a responsible manner, or go to work with one of BOs 'shovel crews'. I hear the puppy may need a poo scooper!

@Jones: The IRS? Your proof?
Sarah asked for a ruling on possible tax for the per diem and whether she needed to repay the children's travel expenses!

You should find out the real story before showing your ignorance.

I guess my question would be why the so called journalist thought she had to use Palin's name in the story. Sarah is no grifter.But I am sure if you looked at the academy awards I bet noone owned there jewelry.If you were looking for attention you got it. I am sure not what you expected. Why all of a sudden have journalists thrown some sort of truth and morals out the window to get attention.

@Gary: Well she was there for three of the shopping trips and she also lost 15 pounds on the campaign trail from the stress and the incredible pace which would also accounts for varied sizes of her clothes. She spoke about the weight loss in an interview. I did not vote for her and would not vote for her but I think characterizing her as a grifter is below the belt. The Obama's choose to purchase all their own clothes but it was obviously meant to be a political statement someone with her salary supporting a large family could not reasonable be expected to pay for the extensive wardrobe need for the campaign trail of a presidential race. I'm all for lively debate but demonizing every little thing the opposition does is just silly and to me counterproductive.
