Save the Cheerleader, Save the Show

Heroes always had a tumultuous relationship with its fans. After the amazing first season the writers strike, combined with a sort of half-assed second season, did not endear the shows to its base and they've had an uphill battle ever since. Fortunately for all those Sylar/Mohinder addicts out there, the show has been picked up for a fall season, although the episodes will be shorter and Ben Silverman has it written in his contract that he's allowed to guest star as someone whose power is giving douchechills.

It's gotten better of late. This Senator Nathan Petrelli hunting down the people with "abilities" screams of X-Men, but isn't ripping off X-Men exactly what made the first season great?

Ive been following this show since it started and yes it is an X men rip off. Although it screams marvel comics the show is by far at its lowest point. The first season was cool but Im ready for it to change or go off the air. The cheerleaders personality is annoying and the plot is just stupid. The second season didnt make sense until the last 2 episodes. The writers are obviously bored or are about to go back on strike
