You know what though? If we were a bazillionaire with a giant media empire, we'd sure as hell put ourselves on every goddamn cover of the magazine that we owned as well. So Oprah allowing Michelle Obama to share the page with her? All we're saying is: America loves Michelle right now, and Oprah's got to keep her friends close, and potential competition closer.

Oprah is on every cover because her magazines sell more copies when she is on the cover. They used to alternate.
Any Ellen fans? She's made it her mission to get on the cover. Now that Michelle's been on it I think that dream is that much closer…
it's a great article–michelle is even more grounded than i thought. i really like her! she's got a great head on her shoulders–and her priorities straight.
on the flip side, when i read articles in good housekeeping and BH&G with laura bush (because first ladies tend to be featured and interviewed) she seemed very nice as well.
but i really relate to michelle–what a nice family.
I have always known Michelle as grounded, although I did her she keeps on changing her designer sunglasses
every day, must have deluged with sunglasses all over her wardrobe.

The First Lady is smart, tough and cool and not some Stepford bore like Laura Bush was.
