Obama has nothing to do with people's disenchantment with Anne Coulter. Controversy and book sales don't equal relevancy. When the octo-mom inevitably rolls out a book I guarantee it will go to the top of the new york times bestseller list. Video Vixen about a self professed slutty woman who slept with rappers and wrote all the details. She was at the top of the bestseller list for almost six months and every book she has written since then has shot to the top of the list. So book sales don't necessarily equal legitimacy. I actually bought one of anne coulter's books because I wanted to get a perspective on "the new conservatives" and was disappointed she would raise interesting issues or subjects then in her need to insult "liberals" would never follow up with the details I was looking for. I think Ms. Coulter has interesting thinks to say and there are some good ideas in her books unfortunately she covers them with so much venom and sarcasm it is hard to actually get to the facts she is trying to impart. I found her theory on the societal damage of exalting the single mother interesting and a theory I agree with unfortunately she barely expounded on it but used the space to expound on why liberals are stupid blah blah blah. I think a lot of conservatives are also unsure about her.

I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. But no matter how much you or I disagree with her, the cult that follows Coulter cannot be denied. An intelligent person can debate political issues without falling back on personal attacks and name calling. If you can't make your arguments about the issues or if they are 80% insults attacks criticism and 20% political views and values you are just working out your own issues of anger and unhappiness under the guise of political ideology. That goes for anyone. I was in europe twice on vacation last year (Scotland,Ireland,England,Wales, and France) and everywhere I went the second people found out I was American every single person said we are dying for obama to win. Every person from the cab driver in Paris to the famous scottish actor we met in glasgow it the UN official we met at St.John in London. Obama has been in office about 50 days you make yourself sound like a zealot when blame government overspending on him when in 8 years we went from a comfortable surplus to the largest deficit in the history of our country. If we are going to talk about earmarks how about the ones that Bush enacted that took money away from police departments in cities with rising crime rates while propping up and manning police departments in Iraq? Where were complaints then? You weren't complaining because Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter weren't telling you to complain. If this new legislation is so god awful why did John Mccain agree with about 90% of it? Don't just take your info spoon feed read the congressional and senatorial record. I'm sure you won't but I'll offer. It is a lot harder to actually research and a lot easier to just take entertainers words for it.
