CNN's Road Trip to Poorsville

cooper13

Remember when John Edwards was going across the country in a One America/Live Aid sort of deal? Or how about when the cast of <em>Good Morning America took a train on a "whistle stop tour" to see how the election is shaping up? Yeah, CNN's idea for a road trip is even worse.

CNN announced Thursday that Cooper will file recession-related dispatches from five U.S. cities as part of a weeklong special package of economy-related coverage branded "Road to the Rescue: A CNN Survival Guide."

This show will be abbreviated on your TiVo as:

DON'T PANIC

Description: CNN teaches you how to build your own shantytown for you and your kin.

I am so amused at you rich/liberal/media-network/elites!
you guys get out of NYC or DC or LA, and get away from all of your narsasitic, wealthy, lefty-liberal, we-are-better-than-Wal Mart 'peasant' ways… and find that fellow Americans are "suffering" during this 'economic downturn'!
I am amused how these stuck-up and clueless media elites from NYC, DC or LA treat REAL AMERICANS like some type of Anthropolgy show

Hey "Heavily Armed Catholic",

Maybe you should arm yourself with a dictionary: "narsasitic"….. "Anthropolgy"….?

Try using spellcheck next time.

@Im still clinging to my guns & religion (aka: a heavily armed Catholic): I am so amused/repulsed by the way you right wing middle americans will cry crocodile tears over the New York World Trade Centre office workers killed in the 9/11 attacks and use the tragedy as an excuse for all kinds unjust republican actions then in the next breath you are discounting white collar New Yorkers as not even "real americans". New York and its "elite" were American enough for al qaeda.

If a person is an American citizen they are a "real American" whether they happen to resemble you or not.

And if you think the coastal cities aren't suffering from the recession you are kidding yourself. The news network wants a cross country perspective but they can witness plenty of poverty at home.

@KJ: Other than the part about troubles on the coasts, I haven't the foggiest idea of what your babbling about.

KJ makes perfectly good sense to me.

@KJ: It may interest people in New York and/or coastal cities to know that there are more people in America besides themselves? Just a wild guess.
