In the most a'doi moment of television history, MSNBC producers were " asked not to incorporate the Jim Cramer/Jon Stewart interview into their shows today." Gee, but it went so well! Go team NBC!

Got into Robert Gibb's press conference on MSNBC today as Robert acknowledged his pleasure with his hit man. Obama's own attack comedian.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House's chief spokesman on Friday said he enjoyed watching "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart give a lashing to CNBC's Jim Cramer over how he and the business network have covered the collapsing economy.

Press secretary Robert Gibbs said he had spoken with President Barack Obama on Thursday about watching the Stewart-Cramer showdown.

"I forgot to e-mail and remind him that it was on, so I don't know if he's seen it," Gibbs said when asked by a reporter Friday. "I enjoyed it thoroughly."

And let there be no doubt, Cramer's sin that triggered the attacks on him was his criticism of Obama and company. He would not have been bothered otherwise.

"fanofgrendel", are you insane? Have you not noticed the economy is gasping and dying, people are losing their life savings, and it's only getting worse? Cramer/CNBC's "only sin", as you put it, was not reporting whatsoever on the financial system's house of cards that led to all of this!! Those financial people stupidly ruined the economy for their own short term gain, and we all got stuck in the lurch. And the financial reporters looked the other way. This has nothing at all to do with Obama or party politics.

Yeah, right, this is all CNBC's fault, dammit!! LOLO, come off it. You obviously don't watch CNBC on any regular basis or you would know otherwise. Beginning at least a year ago right now, when obvious cracks appeared, they were all over this, pointing out the dangers ahead. Even Cramer was lambasting the Fed for its policies, or lack thereof. Please don't paint the entire network with Cramer's brush. CNBC gave the players ample opprtunity to explain themselves (govt. people, economists, bankers, etc.), and their really good reporters (Haines, Faber, Kiernan) constantly questioned what these people were saying. Bad guys skate while we blame the media.

@MarkH: Good analysis, though expect it to fall on def ears of those here who only know about CNBC from Comedy Central.

@lolo: You're a dip. If Cramer has praised Obama, he would never have been mentioned by Stewart.

Boo hoo hooooo….grendel's financial guru got his ass kicked on TV, by Jon Stewart. OH, the shame. That was one of the most cringe inducing interviews I've seen in a while. The great Tucker Carlson smackdown was the other - except somehow Cramer actually made me feel somewhat sorry for him, which Tucker could never do.

The thing I hate about Jim Cramer is that he advocates the purchase of securities issued by businesses in Israel.

We need to boycott businesses in Israel in order to promote the demise of Israel and the accession of the Palestinian State.

If you would like to discuss this with me further just look me up under the profile name BookishLookish on Gawker.com.

like on "Morning Joe" and "Today" everyday Cramer 's apperances there about feuding Stewart. Like Murdoch's News and Business network put a both network postcards in December .although everyday Melissa Francis appeared on "MSNBC Live " at 2 PM (a completitors are CNN's "CNN Newsroom", HLN's "HLN (TV program)",and FNC's "The Live Desk with Martha MacCallum & Trace Gallagher")with Contessa Brewer. while she apperance any MSNBC show.while "CNBC Market Wrap" on MSNBC during "MSNBC Live with Norah O' Donnell","MSNBC Live with Tamron Hall",and "Hardball with Chris Matthews" for market updates. while "MSNBC News Update" on CNBC for every weekday mornings.

@bookishlookish: Israel turned Gaza over to the Palestinians with nice greenhouses and typical nice living spaces. Palestinians, who have shown themselves incapable of anything but living in tent cities, throwing rocks, killing people with bombs, and taking handouts, turned everything to rubble, elected HAMAS, and watched as radicals started shooting rockets at Israel.
Collectively the biggest bunch of dumb asses in the world, and I wouldn't waste enough effort to throw a matzo ball at BookishLookish on Gawker.

Fanofgrendel, like most free-floating neocons have to see everything in binary, gang warfare terms and therefore, anyone that Jon Stewart or Barack Obama criticizes suddenly represents a conservative view point. Fanofgrendel seems to forget that 4 seconds ago, neo-con nation was denouncing CNBC and MSNBC and as left wing drive by media.

Three quotes:

1.) BT Barnum: "there is a sucker born every minute."
2.) Proverbs 14:15: 'A simple person believes anything,.."
3.) Bernie Madoff: "I think that people will be left holding the bag."

Cramer is an entertainer and a 99.6er, NOT AN EXPERT. Anyone who puts their faith and trust in other 99.6ers (including Obamanomics talking heads), well, take your pick of the above quotes.

@DONT TREAD ON ME:

You're right about Cramer being an entertainer, but as was pointed out in The Daily Show interview, you have to tell your audience that you are an entertainer. Jon Stewart was spot on and spoke for millions of middle class Americans who put their savings into 401k's. This issue is much bigger than an "entertainer" lying. It’s about a network, being deceitful and hypocritical and it all started when a CNBC crony accused the American people of being "irresponsible".

@maria: I hate the use of the phrase "spot on". It sounds like the dog just pissed on the carpet. And if you think the American people weren't being irresponsible in many ways, then you are spot off.

@fanofgrendel:

I am not blind, I do think that not only some, but most Americans that put more on their credit cards then they could afford were wrong. However, the retaliation that Jon Stewart provided was in response to the accusation that this was entirely the consumers fault, and that is simply not true. The banks and credit companies that preyed upon college kids with free pizzas and gave exuberant loans messed up. There are a lot of places to lay the blame. But really, what the fuck does a troll like you care for a rational response.

@maria: responsibility still belongs with the individual. if a person cannot separate fact from fantasy then any or all of the quotes in my post apply. a pointing finger has three pointing back!!

1.) BT Barnum: "there is a sucker born every minute."
2.) Proverbs 14:15: 'A simple person believes anything,.."
3.) Bernie Madoff: "I think that people will be left holding the bag."
