Now that the scrappy Jon Stewart (host of the Daily Show, working for Comedy Central, owned by the giant Viacom corporation) vanquished the Goliath of CNBC (actually just hammered Jim Cramer until the Mad Money host admitted he was not a financial expert) we can all get our money back, right?? Right? Jon Stewart: He really does find cheap populism oddly arousing!

Holy Shit, Michael Phelps Did Something
We're not even sure what he did, because it's not like the Internet has pictures or anything. But Michael Phelps definitely admitted to doing something that made him not an American Hero a couple months ago. Thank god for Matt Lauer, who, like Jon Stewart, catches on to people doing bad things a couple months too late for them to be relevant when he chides them like children.

Actor Ron Silver, 62, Dies
I am terribly saddened to report that the great actor and political activist, Ron Silver, died this morning at his home in New York. Ron was 64 and had been bravely battling esophageal cancer for the last two years. He leaves two children, Adam and Alexandra, his parents and his brother, as well as countless friends and admirers.
Terrible news, Fano, but thanks for sharing. Silver was fun to watch on the screen, and when commenting politically, was even-handed. He was in the liberal camp when Clinton was elected, then swung right by the time Bush was elected. But due to his disappointments with W & Co. the last eight years, became more centrist and pragmatic, IMHO. RIP.
My kind of guy. Rest in Peace.
