Anderson Cooper Won't Play Ball/Dance on Ellen

See, this is what I'm talking about, always with the faux-modesty this one. If Anderson Cooper is really too shy to dance on Ellen, when literally everyone from presidents to Joey Fatone has done so, doesn't it start to seem a little snobby? Especially because it's not like the CNN anchor is so highbrow that he doesn't spend the rest of his segment cashing in on his widely-known love for the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Video after the jump.

"No one really wants to see a middle-aged guy with silver hair wriggling." Um, are you kidding? That's all we want from you, Anderson. More wriggling.

He is really is shy. That doesn't make him snobby. I think it affects him worse because he knows so many bloggers, etc are following what he's up to and eager to make fun of it online.

Did you miss him turning into a giggling red faced helpless wreck when Kelly Ripa tried to make him do pelvic thrust and lasso style exercises?

Smart move Anderson. Remember how well dancing on Ellen went for Chris Matthews?

No, it doesn't mean he is snobby, it means he doesn't want to dance.

I kinda see what you mean, but, honestly, sometimes you just freeze. I get really, really nervous about dancing whilst wathced also. And it's not like I think it makes me look humble, I think it makes me look like a loser.

I don't blame him, there's no reason to dance on her show just because everyone else does it. He always refuses to dance, Kelly Ripa has tried many times and got nowhere. He didn't dance on his last appearance on Ellen and I don't think it's a form of snobbery or false modesty, he simply doesn't feel comfortable about dancing publicly and I don't think it's really something he should be criticized for.

He dances at home alone in his Gloria Vanderbilt jeans.

Anderson needs to take his next vacation in Montgomery, AL so he can hang out with Sammy Stephens and take some pointers.
