I had to re-read your post. You should listen to "all" of it. I heard this "live" and she was talking about Michelle Obama talking to a group of students and kids saying when she was in school, that she, Michelle, talked like a "white girl"

Damn, I'm so glad I'll never be in public office. I would die a thousand deaths if my "intellectual" writings during college were ever made public. They seemed so brilliant (to me) at the time, since I was way more in the know than the average bear. The college experience will do that to you, you know? It's only later, when you've left that comfy little environment, that you learn you just may have been a tad bit full of yourself. I've not read Michelle Obama's thesis, but I'm sure it reflects whatever she experienced and thought at the time. I really don't think a college thesis should be held against anyone.

Like you said, she was in college roughly 20 years ago, and obviously her outlook on many things has changed since then. Just like anyone's would if they experienced personal growth.

Blacks might as well start learning the PC rules we've lived under for years. How many good men and women have gone down in flames because of what was written in college thesis papers. Even a blooming little Stephen King would be sent of to the shrink for evaluation these days.

I read the name calling remarks with amusement. Consider the hateful rhetoric thrown at GW Bush and Sarah Palin. The crazy left is upset when someone makes fun of the high and mighty Obama's? Well, they better get used to it, because their chickens have come home to roost.

It IS pretty dumb to make a big deal out of name calling. As we've seen on this thread alone, people do understand that what we think od as The Truth pretty early in life, when we have less life experiences tends to mold a little differently as life progresses and the life experience chapter enlarges.

As much as I'd like to suggest Michelle Obama just toughen up because others have been subjected to the same irrational criticism, I am taking up the challenge to Change, which so many people, including me, who voted for Obama claimed to want. It's obvious any effective change will come from us, the people, not from politicians. They serve us, not the other way around.
