McCain Smart Enough to Not Vote for Palin in 2012

Here's John McCain completely dodging David Gregory's question about whether he would vote for Sarah Palin in 2012. Six months ago, so desperate was this old dog for power that he was telling all of America he had complete faith in Palin. Now he can't even muster the politeness to say he'd offer her his support if she ran against a fucking timid 12-year-old like Bobby Jindal. With friends like these, it's no wonder Palin has so much aggression that she feels the need to take to the skies with rifles and shoot tired wolves in the back.

This woman shoots wolves? God, I love her. McCain does not want to jinx her. The reason she is still so discussed is that Democrats fear her. (Did Edwards or Lieberman get any attention after the losing campaigns? nope.)

For some reason people feel the need to constantly bring her up and if you comment you are obsessed. As far as the dictator in the making comment i really suggest you go to college and while you are there take some political science courses because the closest this country came to a dictator since Nixon was our last President. He ignored the constitution and used fear to legislate away civil liberties luckily our current President is reversing those policies.

I think that the reason people made a big stink about Bristol getting pregnant is that Sarah preached against teaching birth control methods in school and was an advocate for "abstinence only" policies, which didn't even work for her own daughter. And Rhonda, can you please explain to me how you are "sure" many democratic daughter have been pregnant and had abortions? What the f does that even mean? And if anyone does have an abortion it's none of your business.

Part of the reason the Supreme Court went with Roe vs Wade was the very issue of availability of abortions to all women. When it was illegal, only women who could afford it had them, and family doctors & friends always had connections. Women of lesser means tried to give themselves abortions which obviously resulted in horrific injuries and death. Right or wrong, it's not my call to make. It's between a woman and the Spirit in the Sky. Not everyone agrees that life begins at conception, and that is a matter of personal beliefs and religion, which are different for everyone. The Supreme Court agreed.

I'm sorry for anyone who feels they have no other choice, and I know it is a far more complicated and painful a decision for any woman to make than this notion that any woman who has an abortion has a willful disregard for human life. That is simply not the case. I'm not about to set myself up to be judge and jury on this issue. I have yet to find in the Bible where God said for us to pass judgment for Him, cause He can't possibly get to everyone. ESPECIALLY women who get abortions.

@Rhonda: Nobody gives the girl grief for having a baby. It's because her mother, like Jen noted, is a very outspoken advocate of abstinence only. Most responsible adults would hope their children would abstain from sex until they are at least old enough to deal with all the consequences that come from sex. Guess what, it doesn't matter what kind of background kids come from, religious or conservative kids are still kids. Babies, Std's, emotional problems, teen suicide is at its highest in the US history (college age)

Do you think all parents just tell their kids to wear a condom and that cures everything! It doesn't cure everything! Sex is a powerful thing and we (as adults) hope young people are mature enough to handle, disease, a baby, rejection, abortion, peer pressure and on and on.

@fanofgrendel: Time and statistics have shown that abstinence only education causes sex without responsibility. Stats prove that teens who receive abstinence only education not only still have sex but have UN-protected sex and are more at risk for VD and pregnancy. It is irresponsible to not give teenagers the facts. Look at Bristol Palin if someone had given her and education she would not be an unmarried teen-age mother with a GED she would be a high school student on the way to college. I know myself the girls who didn't talk to their parents about sex and were not told about birth control, and VD were the biggest sluts in high school in college. They were the girls who got knocked-up because they were never taught sexual responsibility. Telling someone don't do it teaches nothing but ignorance and leads to bad decisions. Telling a teenager about unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease making it clear to them why it is important to wait but giving them the knowledge and the tools to protect themselves if they don't is the only way to lower the teen pregnancy rate. The statistic prove it.

I think Sarah Palin means a lot to people and speaks to their values and that is a good thing. The same way the President speaks to others people values and political points of view. It is normal and professional for a world leader to read off of a prepared speech or a TelePrompTer. Apparently the British newspapers are having a field day making fun of the right wing having a problem with this issue. Something as important as an address to our and country and the world is far too important to give off the cuff. But she is a soccer mom so the Republicans think she is qualified because she uses small words and they feel they can relate to her folksy charm. She runs the state where every resident gets an actual check from the oil companies (talk about welfare). She professes to be a voice for the disabled but will be turning down stimulus money that would include a sizable amount of money for services and education for the disabled. She is a liar, a hypocrite, and a phony. Mc Cain was projected to win till he hitched his horse to her and probably would have if he had picked a good candidate to run with. That was when he lost my vote. I hope people keep supporting her keep rallying around a soccer mom instead of a qualified candidate it only helps democrats or independents like myself.

Every citizen of Alaska gets a check from the oil companies. Right, their tribes were the original owners of the state (they are indians) they agreed to share with (all citizens) of Alaska. I don't think its a huge amount. A couple of thousand, per person. There are benefits to being an American indian as well.

@anderson cooper is my future husband: looks like you have some serious competition. Hope you have something to offer Anderson other than your obvious charm.

I like Sarah Palin but she doesn't walk on water. I don't make everything OK because its Sarah. I'm not that vested in her. She is a politician.

@Rhonda: Now you change your tune because you can't defend her. You always back down when confronted with facts because you are just an ignorant sow and a bully. I've seen you attack anyone who isn't in favor of your precious soccer mom and bitch about how people pick on her uneducated knocked up daughter. We have all read you post this stuff for months. She is a liar, a hypocrite and I see why you like her it must be like looking in the mirror.

@Rhonda: What side are you on, exactly? You're doing left leaning people no favors here, and you jump on anyone who has a different opinion than you. Sanctimonious cow yourself.
