You Play with Murdoch, You're Going to Get Burned

Even though Newser's chrome-domed creator Michael Wolff wrote a mostly in-awe biography about Rupert Murdoch, the subsequent press tour he gave for The Man That Owns the News included a couple not-so-complimentary bon mots which may have rubbed the Australian News Corp. CEO the wrong way. How else do you explain Page Six's relentless attack against the "trout-pouted" author, of whom the gossip column first revealed the May-December affair of a month ago, and now his subsequent divorce. Not to mention the fact that Richard Johnson's people are keeping a watchful eye on the court case of Wolff v. his mother-in-law, who he is trying to evict from her apartment. We'd say all the evidence points to a bad, bad man, but considering that Murdoch has never been one to have ethical qualms about using his paper to destroy his enemies, we'll take the info with a grain of salt.
