In a devastating display a violence this afternoon, a young middle-aged man opened fire on a room full of immigrants taking a citizenship exam in a one-story American Civic Association. This is tragic.
So far, the casualty count is at 13 and 26 are wounded. The gunman, Jiverly Voong, then opened fire on himself.

"The gunman reportedly was a 41-year-old man of Asian descent and lived in the Binghamton suburb of Johnson City. Jiverly Voong, who also goes by the name Linh Phat Voong, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, a local law enforcement official told The Associated Press. Officials, however, would not identify the shooter during the news conference."
