Um, can they do that? They can. NBC has threatened Jay Leno's "hometown affiliate" in Boston (which we're sure he feels a direct, strong kinship to), WHDH with pulling their affiliation to the local station. Why? Because the head honchos at WHDH don't think Leno's show will do very well in its new time slot, and they'd rather but on a repeat of say, Keith Olbermann or something else that can compete with Fox's 10 p.m. news. Well, maybe Leno can become one of those serious/funny personalities, like Letterman or Stewart or Colbert. Then it's like getting chuckles and news, at the same time!
