Obama Gets His Trillions

barack_money

Congress approved Barack Obama's secret communist budget yesterday, with Democrats showing "overwhelming" support for the $3.5 trillion spending plan. The House vote was 233 to 196 and the Senate vote was 55 to 43.

The only thing we have to add is, if this doesn't work, we're all fucked, so save your Limbaugh-ey hope for failure for your kid's soccer game or whatever.

I'm obsessed with Obama becuz he is the black buck my hillbilly dad warned me about.
I am his stalker.
I think about him all day every day.
He would never want an old bag like me so I have my fantasy.
I'm lonely.

Again, Obama's budget will double the debt in three years and triple it by the time he leaves office.

And that's if the economy recovers strongly next year.

Where was all this outrage when Bush ran up over one TRILLION dollars on the unwinable war in Iraq alone? Suddenly conservatives want us to stop spending money because they are not in power. No money for new teachers, police, bridges, levees, roads etc. This new legislation is about building infrastructure. When we waste a trillion dollars on Iraq's infrastructure it's patriotic but when we want to spend it on OUR countries infrastructure Democrats are not even supposed to spend money on our own country we are supposed to send it all to Iraq. it's bad. Conservatives don't want this legislation because they don't want Americas infrastructure to be improved. If they aren't running america they want her to fail. All this talk about fiscal responsibility after 8 years of big government spending that has been unrivaled in the history of this country. But hey that is that conservative affirmative action when they do it it's patriotic when anyone else does it it's irresponsible. Kind of like Bush getting into Yale with a C average.

somebody shows some real concern about Obama, and Getreal and her ilk immediately jump in with "Where was all this outrage when Bush …blah, blah).

Bush is gone. Obama is in charge of the fire department now, and he is pouring more gasoline on the burning house, not water.

@getreal: You continue to overlook the present to live in the argument mode of the past. After 8 years of harping on Bush, you just can't give it up to try to defend the mess your Obama mini-Marxist is making of our future. Eight years from now when bread is ten dollars a loaf, you will still be yammering away on the same old talking points of yesteryear. Intellectual stagnation.

@fanofgrendel: GetReal would never be the one to point out that the Emperor has no clothes. There is inherent danger in blind allegiance. My vote counted as much as hers or anyone else's, but we aren't all going to pretend nothing matters except Bush was a fuckup. Objectivity is a little more difficult when it's your "side" you're having to watch.

Morning,

Before I went to bed last night I had a really ugly post from one of my admirers, haven't seen it, do they scrub on this site

What are the odds of Drew or Cord posting about the BBC report of Obama ah,ow,eh for 2 1/2 minutes. That didn't seem to be popular last night, was looking forward to being entertained this morning.

Bam, Getreal isn't speaking to either on of us anymore!

@Rhonda: If GetReal isn't talking to either of us, I'm sure she'll tell us time and time again. It's good to be us, isn't it? Regarding Clinton, he was our governor for I can't remember how many years and was quite popular everywhere except North Arkansas, where the migratory Yankees tend to make homes. Huckabee and Clinton both share Hope, Ark. as a hometown, oddly enough. I've lived and worked in Hope, and believe me when I say whoever named that town was an optimist to the nth degree. It is really weird that Clinton (D), and Huckabee (R) both hail from the same little town, and have such different standings in politics. Who knows? Maybe Huckabee will actually pull off a presidential bid someday. He's not half bad, for a former Baptist minister turned politician. Although, the argument could be made that he is the epitome of all that's wrong with both religion AND politics. I guess an argument could be made out of cement if one desired. GetReal is the perfect example. Hoo-Ha!

@getreal:Since you are still mired in what was and not what can be, here is an interesting tidbit about the looney left's "flunky" poster-child for global warming (oh, excuse me, climate change) which may make your enemy GW, look like a genius:

From the Boston Globe 09/07/2000
"Gore's undergraduate transcript from Harvard is riddled with C's, including a C-minus in introductory economics, a D in one science course, and a C-plus in another. In his sophomore year at Harvard, Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale. Moreover, Gore's graduate school record - consistently glossed over by the press - is nothing short of shameful. In 1971, Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where, according to Bill Turque, author of "Inventing Al Gore," he received F's in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters. Not surprisingly, Gore did not receive a degree from the divinity school. Nor did Gore graduate from Vanderbilt Law School, where he enrolled for a brief time and received his fair share of C's. (Bush went on to earn an MBA from Harvard)."

And the world considers him the foremost scientific expert on global climatology?? The myopic minds of the 99.6ers. Rhetoric mistaken for fact.

PEW RESEARCH CENTER FOR THE PEOPLE & THE PRESS
Partisan Gap in Obama Job Approval Widest in Modern Era

April 2, 2009

For all of his hopes about bipartisanship, Barack Obama has the most polarized early job approval ratings of any president in the past four decades. The 61-point partisan gap in opinions about Obama's job performance is the result of a combination of high Democratic ratings for the president — 88% job approval among Democrats — and relatively low approval ratings among Republicans (27%).

By comparison, there was a somewhat smaller 51-point partisan gap in views of George W. Bush's job performance in April 2001, a few months into his first term. At that time, Republican enthusiasm for Bush was comparable to how Democrats feel about Obama today, but there was substantially less criticism from members of the opposition party. Among Democrats, 36% approved of Bush's job performance in April 2001; that compares with a 27% job approval rating for Obama among Republicans today.
