Barack Obama is in Istanbul today to wrap up his far-reaching, two-week European tour. Though the president was mostly well-received this time around, there were people protesting him and the US in general throughout the various legs of his journey. Here, both the fans and the naysayers, and the photo of Obama and Silvio Berlusconi totally bro-ing down.

American President defends America: America isn't selfish and crass, but according to our DEFENDER we have been arrogant and dismissive. WHAT A PRESIDENT! NOW he's in IRAQ, to LIFT the spirits of our troops. What will his speech to the troops be like: YOU Were sent to unjust war by that other guy………..

did you see the ovation for Bush yesterday when he threw out the first baseball. Man, he's aged in 9 years, but I was thrilled to see him and so was that crowd!

@Rhonda: He threw the opening pitch for the Texas Rangers, the team he used to partially own, in his home state…of course he was cheered on.

Jen,

The man has aged 20 years in the 8 years he served as president. Threw out the first ball and I was thrilled to see him throw that "manly" first ball out and so was the crowd. If it makes YOU feel better that it was Texas, so be it.

@Rhonda: It doesn't make ME feel any better. I just wasn't imperessed with that comment. And every president ages like that, Obama is going to look like crap whenever his term ends. If you google it, you will see images of everyone from GW to FDR aging..comes with the stress of the job. Also, even if Obama sends this country worse into the crapper by the end of the term, he will still be cheered on if he throws the opening pitch at a White Sox game.

Jen,

Obama already looks (and sounds) like he's walking thru Hell, and it's been less than 90 days, he won't make it the whole way, he was never vetted and its showing.

I was thrilled to see Bush, although he's aged, still throwing a good strong baseball. That made alot of people happy.

People can't "make" someone a president, it has to be earned, thru experience. The only thing Obama ever did, was run for office, now he goes to Europe and he makes "campaign" speeches. That's all he knows how to do, run for office and blame Bush. That's our fault, no one Ever demanded anything out of the guy, now we are behind the eight ball with a guy who never ran ANYTHING! Now, he's blaming us, he defends us by saying we are not stupid and crass. Yes, we are, STUPID!, we elected him!

They will stay at the 'cute kids' stage for the duration of his presidency, at least. Actually, Chelsea Clinton has been the only presidential child with a near perfect record since the Nixon daughters lived in the White House. @weezy: As a child in the White House, once, when asked whether she had any message for the children of America, Amy replied with a simple "No". Further controversy resulted when Carter was seen reading a book during a state dinner at the White House, which was seen as offensive to foreign guests. It might have been "My Pet Goat".

Carter illustrated[6] her father's 1995 children's book The Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer.

In September 1996, Carter married computer consultant James Gregory Wentzel. Carter chose not to be given away, stating that she "belonged to no one." Carter and Wentzel both kept their own family names. The couple moved to the Atlanta area, where they have focused on raising their son, Hugo James Wentzel.

Since the late 1990s, Carter has maintained a low profile, neither participating in public protests nor granting interviews.

She sounds like a person that I would want to avoid at all cost.
I would much rather hang out with the Bush twins.

@weezy: No, Amy didn't cause a ripple during her father's administration. She got caught up in a protest of some sort later and ended up being one of the ones arrested, but it was after her father had left office. She was a good kid with idealistic and liberal views.

She has no education and will just regurgitate the same facts she heard on Rush Limbaugh over and over until she is presented with proof of the facts then she will disappear and reappear with a new set of specious facts. Don't waste time trying to have a real political discussion with her. There are a few people on here who are just trolls they don't really have anything to offer in the way of intelligent debate read a few posts look at a few silly pictures and they announce themselves. It is ironic that she keeps bringing up all these imaginary european articles when anyone who has spent anytime in europe nows europeans make fun of people like Rhonda at best and most european people political despise people like Rhonda.

@weezy: As a cult leader, Obama is brainwashing the masses: Rasmussen Poll: Just 53% of Americans Say Capitalism Better Than Socialism. I'm beginning to think he is the anti-Christ.

Polls also show Obama to be the most divisive president in history at this point in his first term. Again, the Obama that wooed Republicans in Iowa in 2008 was a sham. A Trojan horse.

Those that opposed tyrants be they Hitler or Joe McCarthy always begin as a minority. History always wonders how the majority could be so fooled.

@fanofgrendel: It's not Obama's fault that only a slim majority of Americans understand the freedom of capitalism. We've spent decades building up the magical power of credit instead of ownership. People actually believe their lives are over if they have less than a great credit score. Americans have become slaves to consumerism and feel worthless and confused when they lose buying power and status. It's like a disease.

I've ridden Amtrack to New Orleans before and our train hit a van on the way home that resulted in the deaths of two people. Amazing.
