Barack Obama is in Istanbul today to wrap up his far-reaching, two-week European tour. Though the president was mostly well-received this time around, there were people protesting him and the US in general throughout the various legs of his journey. Here, both the fans and the naysayers, and the photo of Obama and Silvio Berlusconi totally bro-ing down.

Oh darn, he's on his way home. More of his priorities:
Raise taxes
Spend our money
Unionize businesses
Spend our money
Socialize the country
Spend our money
Take away our guns
Spend our money
Cap and trade: raise electricity bills
Government run health care
Spend our money
Increase National Debt
Spend our money
Abortions for free.
Spend our money
Oh darn, he's on his way home.
Caution: beware any side trips that might involve shoes.
American President defends America: America isn't selfish and crass, but according to our DEFENDER we have been arrogant and dismissive. WHAT A PRESIDENT! NOW he's in IRAQ, to LIFT the spirits of our troops. What will his speech to the troops be like: YOU Were sent to unjust war by that other guy………..
did you see the ovation for Bush yesterday when he threw out the first baseball. Man, he's aged in 9 years, but I was thrilled to see him and so was that crowd!
@Rhonda: He threw the opening pitch for the Texas Rangers, the team he used to partially own, in his home state…of course he was cheered on.
Jen,
The man has aged 20 years in the 8 years he served as president. Threw out the first ball and I was thrilled to see him throw that "manly" first ball out and so was the crowd. If it makes YOU feel better that it was Texas, so be it.
@Rhonda: It doesn't make ME feel any better. I just wasn't imperessed with that comment. And every president ages like that, Obama is going to look like crap whenever his term ends. If you google it, you will see images of everyone from GW to FDR aging..comes with the stress of the job. Also, even if Obama sends this country worse into the crapper by the end of the term, he will still be cheered on if he throws the opening pitch at a White Sox game.
So true, Jen.
Jen,
Obama already looks (and sounds) like he's walking thru Hell, and it's been less than 90 days, he won't make it the whole way, he was never vetted and its showing.
I was thrilled to see Bush, although he's aged, still throwing a good strong baseball. That made alot of people happy.
People can't "make" someone a president, it has to be earned, thru experience. The only thing Obama ever did, was run for office, now he goes to Europe and he makes "campaign" speeches. That's all he knows how to do, run for office and blame Bush. That's our fault, no one Ever demanded anything out of the guy, now we are behind the eight ball with a guy who never ran ANYTHING! Now, he's blaming us, he defends us by saying we are not stupid and crass. Yes, we are, STUPID!, we elected him!
"I was thrilled to see Bush, although he's aged, still throwing a good strong baseball. That made alot of people happy."
Will somebody please ironic t-shirt that shit, like, NOW?
@cord: LOL. I would buy that.
Rhonda, if that made you happy that's just plain wonderful.
Obama should look and sound like crap, he has had a really tough (putting mildly) first 90 or whatever days. Whether you agree with anything he is doing that is evident I believe.
European papers are having a good laugh, "is Obama and his telepromter still here? Obama's are bores! Put that on a t-shirt. BBC records 2 1/2 minutes of the President of the United States, not being able to answer simple question. Tommy telepromter would make a great t-shirt!
You can't stand one word of praise or love for Bush can you? You will get your Karma, it will be the same for Obama!
What you wish for Bush will be Obama's fate as well
@Rhonda: Rhonda, what are you talking about? I just thought your remark about the GWB throwing a "good strong baseball" and looking old had nothing to do with anything. If that is praise, then you can have it. I have not said ONE word defending or praising Obama at all. I just said he should sound tired, old whatever. What Karma am I getting exactly? Re-read my posts sweetheart.
@Jen:
The deficit on Jan 1, 2009 was projected at 600 billion. Jan 20th it moved to 3.5 trillion. How was that on Bush's watch?
Sorry don't buy "Bush's fault" mantra anymore. This president will not allow the banks who were forced to take TARP monies REPAY it earyl…Why? He won't be in control of them…
@ILoveAmerica: Did you even read my posts? Either of you?! I never said a f-ing word about blaming Bush. For Christ's Sake give it a break people.
@Jen:
Hey Jen you mentioned the first 90 days and all I did was add facts to my response…I don't know if you blame Bush or not relax…
@jen:
don't bother friend. anything other than a thumbs up for bush will get you an obama smackdown. have you not learned anything? everything is obama's fault :)
@weezy:
Nope just what's happened since Jan 20th…
i personally would love to see bush sink a 3 pointer (in a room full of awed soldiers :)
now that's "manly"
@weezy: Thanks, friend. I hate being berated for something I didn't even insinuate or say. All I said is Obama should sound tired and old. If I had tried to start up a Bush/Obama argument that would have been one thing.
don't even try joking about it–it's serious on this site. check out unrelated posts like octomom or celebrity gossip, someone always posts that the nutjob probably 'voted for obama' or something.
@weezy: I'm always waiting to pounce Weez.
Kneel before Zod!
Or at least give a little bow. You are only the President of the United States, you know.
http://www.thedailyshow.com/vi.....hobia-obey
at least watch from the 3:40 mark–then maybe you'll understand
@weezy: sorry, I can't listen to that guy for longer than 30 seconds. He is just too cute.
@fanofgrendel: I despise Bush and will forever blame him and his cronies for the raping of America, but even I had enough respect for the office he held to at least TRY to find something positive in his incoherent ramblings. I wasn't successful, but I did try. Then I cried.
@bam-a-lam: sorry, I was referring to Jon Stewart (from the weezter link) not Obama. I listen to the President very, very carefully, then I run and hide under my bed if I can't find something positive like: he has a nice smile, his kids are the best, he bowls better than I do.
come on fan, if you can handle glenn beck on a daily basis, i think you can give jon stewart 30 seconds. the end of his monologue sums it up best.
obama's kids are the cutest, after mine :)
@fanofgrendel: Oh. My bad. I just assumed you meant Obama was too cute, since I know how much you adore him. He is lucky that his kids aren't old enough to be arrested for underage partying yet. They will stay at the 'cute kids' stage for the duration of his presidency, at least. Actually, Chelsea Clinton has been the only presidential child with a near perfect record since the Nixon daughters lived in the White House. God knows the Nixon girls were perfect props to WASP-y living, ever.
if fan called the president cute it would only be to shut us up momentarily, out of shock :)
did amy carter have problems?
@weezy: As a child in the White House, once, when asked whether she had any message for the children of America, Amy replied with a simple "No". Further controversy resulted when Carter was seen reading a book during a state dinner at the White House, which was seen as offensive to foreign guests. It might have been "My Pet Goat".
Carter illustrated[6] her father's 1995 children's book The Little Baby Snoogle-Fleejer.
In September 1996, Carter married computer consultant James Gregory Wentzel. Carter chose not to be given away, stating that she "belonged to no one." Carter and Wentzel both kept their own family names. The couple moved to the Atlanta area, where they have focused on raising their son, Hugo James Wentzel.
Since the late 1990s, Carter has maintained a low profile, neither participating in public protests nor granting interviews.
She sounds like a person that I would want to avoid at all cost.
I would much rather hang out with the Bush twins.
@weezy: No, Amy didn't cause a ripple during her father's administration. She got caught up in a protest of some sort later and ended up being one of the ones arrested, but it was after her father had left office. She was a good kid with idealistic and liberal views.
@fanofgrendel: I wonder what the Secret Service was thinking when this happened? I thought they were supposed to serve and protect?!!! LOL.
what is a snoogle-fleejer?
i think i may have some 'falling down' photos of my own from college-yeesh. check out the bored guy in the back!
hey rhonda, got any links to those "european papers" you refer to?
or are they like the other time you said it was "all over the european news" and couldn't find a single article?
do YOU even believe the crap you spew out? or are you just repeating what you're spoon fed by hannity and his ilk? do you EVER actually confirm what they tell you with a little investigation of your own?
I can't tell by your posts that the answer is "no".
E X T R A E X T R A E X T R A
NOT A BOW SAYS WHITE HOUSE!
"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
In my quest to be fair, I bring you this announcement.
FANOFGRENDEL = FANOFTRUTH, FANOFJUSTICE, FANOFTHEAMERICANWAY
@uh…..:
try reading something besides Jossip.
@Rhonda: I like that link (http://w/) you have attached to your name. It seems appropriate that its a few letters short of an actual URL.
oh, I do, Rhonda. I read the euro papers on line, so I know what they print.
so, show me the euro papers, Rhonda. Just ONE link.
I asked you last time, and you came up with NADA.
wanna go for 2? I'll wait. and wait…and wait…
@uh….: Rhonda is a complete liar. She simply makes up facts and statistics when pressed for proof or even a link she hides. When presented with proof she will just start insulting whoever outed her as an ignorant fearful person. She has no education and will just regurgitate the same facts she heard on Rush Limbaugh over and over until she is presented with proof of the facts then she will disappear and reappear with a new set of specious facts. Don't waste time trying to have a real political discussion with her. There are a few people on here who are just trolls they don't really have anything to offer in the way of intelligent debate read a few posts look at a few silly pictures and they announce themselves.It is ironic that she keeps bringing up all these imaginary european articles when anyone who has spent anytime in europe nows europeans make fun of people like Rhonda at best and most european people political despise people like Rhonda.
Ignore No. 40 and No. 41, Rhonda. They contribute very little of any interest themselves, but only pick at others. Don't waste your time with their idiotic demands. You are a big help to those of us who care that our country is being destroyed by the Obama menace.
"You are a big help to those of us who care that our country is being destroyed by the Obama menace."
oh fanofgrendel, you disappoint. approval ratings are up for obama, so i'm afraid you're in the minority in believing i the 'obama menace'.
@weezy: As a cult leader, Obama is brainwashing the masses: Rasmussen Poll: Just 53% of Americans Say Capitalism Better Than Socialism. I'm beginning to think he is the anti-Christ.
Polls also show Obama to be the most divisive president in history at this point in his first term. Again, the Obama that wooed Republicans in Iowa in 2008 was a sham. A Trojan horse.
Those that opposed tyrants be they Hitler or Joe McCarthy always begin as a minority. History always wonders how the majority could be so fooled.
@weezy: sh#t taco.
@fanofgrendel: It's not Obama's fault that only a slim majority of Americans understand the freedom of capitalism. We've spent decades building up the magical power of credit instead of ownership. People actually believe their lives are over if they have less than a great credit score. Americans have become slaves to consumerism and feel worthless and confused when they lose buying power and status. It's like a disease.
"When you work for someone else, the government gets first crack at your money. Work for yourself, YOU get first crack."
–words of a wise woman
@bam-a-lam:
ditto bam :)
sorta unrelated, but here's a video you'll like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoGYx35ypus
Fan,
I was horrified when I saw that Rasmussen poll, I cannot believe only 53% of us want to make our own decisions and be FREE! Obama's next move, more amnesty, so that will push the people who want to be taken care of by the state even higher. I don't understand it, I truly don't!
@weezy: Thanks for that clip! It's hilarious.
I've ridden Amtrack to New Orleans before and our train hit a van on the way home that resulted in the deaths of two people. Tragic, but on the club car some people started bitching because the train had to stop moving for a while. How annoying that we were so inconvenienced for an hour while lives were shattered. Amazing.
bam that's horrible. and yet sadly i'm not even surprised. i wish i was as eloquent as that comedian, or john stewart a couple of nights ago when he said that 'barackophobia' bit. i feel like there's so much sh*t going on, and then there's so much whining about the minutiae.
sometimes i think people need to put things in perspective.
