Meghan McCain Gets (Another) Book Deal

The blogosphere is making a huge fuss about Meghan McCain getting a deal with Hyperion/Disney for "somewhere in the high six figures." Because that explains why she sped into the limelight with such forcefulness last month! Because she's writing a book!

Except the 24-year old McCain already wrote a book, remember? My Dad, John McCain right any bells? And since there is no news of what this book is going to be about it (although Hyperion does specialize in non-fiction) lets not jump to any conclusions of the subject matter. Or possible titles including "Fuck you, Ann Coulter" and "Laura Ingraham, Kiss My Wide-Ass Booty."

You forgot "Ode to Sarah Palin" if you are republican, you can make big money and become VERY popular wth msm if you bash other republicans. Meghan's father made his career on this, daughter learned well, she'll be a media darling if she bashes the right "women". I can almost write that book for her, republicans need to be nicer and listen to smart people not those people who believe in God. Right people, Wrong people-get it! Get along, forget your beliefs and value system and join the mainstream!

Good for her.

Unlike Vice President's Gore's daughter who is the hostess of some flippant New York one show (and his other children who do nothing) and many other political children who do nothing Meghan is moving in a lot of directions at once.

For a 21 year old it is pretty amazing how far she has gotten so quickly. She is a hell of a lot more articulate than I was at her age and I'm a Harvard lawyer.

Even though I am a party line Democrat I hope Meghan gets even more involved in politics. She might make it more interesting.

@american dreamer: "… and I'm a Harvard lawyer." You sure do like to remind people of that.

@Rhonda: you know, at least for most people, believing in God and being smart are not exclusive of each other.

@Rhonda: yes, that's what listening to Rush will do to you. Also, college campuses are nothing but terrorist training camps in case you didn't know.

It's fun for a McCain supporter to see that edge that her father has reflected in a new and fresh way. Good for her.

@perception: It depends on your definition of smart.
