The Worst Comedy Special Ever

You thought the Osbourne Variety Hour was bad? Hated Parks and Recreation? Well NBC plans on outdoing all y'all, and of course we can blame it on Ben Silverman.

The network has scheduled what it is calling a “comedy showcase” for the evening of May 19, inside the Town Hall theater, with Mr. Leno leading a roster of comedy performers from NBC.

Ben Silverman, the co-chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a telephone interview that the network has high expectations for Mr. Leno’s performance in the fall. “This is going to be a comedy show,” Mr. Silverman said, suggesting that the prime-time program will be significantly more humorous than Mr. Leno’s current work on “The Tonight Show.”

I dunno dude. You have Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon onstage at the same time, and you have to make clarify that this will be a comedy show? Not a great sign.

Still, the rest of NBC's comedy lineup will probably have to put in at least a small appearance, so at least Rainn Wilson, Tina Fey, and Steve Carrell will all be involved.

Jossip is right for once. This thing is going to stink. Leno is going to take it on the chin.
