Here's your new Louis Vuitton ad campaign, fashion junkies—a woman exposing her ass and resting her face on some obnoxious clown's crotch. Isn't couture elegant?

Gee can't these marketing people develop something more original than this? I would've had his a** in a Speedo or altogether naked, then you might have something edgy and erotic.

Well I suppose that's one way to see it. And it just so happens to be the the most contemptible way. Keep on transmitting that positive energy J.

@ Buddy Young: I take it you are not into the fashion or photography scene? I happen to be a photographer in NYC so we think outside the box and I personally do not find the misogynistic message here all that positive. Looks like an arrogant man sitting with his subserviant galpal nude while he is all modest and covered up? Please tell me what is so contemptible about him showing his body also?

@Joe Blow: She is an gay ex-stripper (media take out had like 8 pictures of her with her butch gf) who is dating him for publicity. He wrote a song about dating a blonde gay stripper who was only with him for publicity. I think their "dating" is a performance art piece.

@ Getreal: I assumed it was a publicity ploy but it is still the same old tored scenario of a nude gal and a clothed dude that we have seen forever. I just thought Kanye could have rocked it a bit more by not being so inhibited.

The "J" stood for "Jossip". Perhaps I should have used "H" or "D" or something. And ya ever notice how people r always expositing their occupation to you and its just so happens to perfectly complement the topic? Like if you're listenin to a song on youtube and comment that its pretty nice, some dude comes in and feels the need to explain how he's/she's been a DJ out in LA for 14 years, as if their opinion that the song is complete utter shit now gets a +1000 bonus powerup or something? Not to say you're a liar or anything, I've just grown to be kindof skepitical.

That aside, assuming we're all going by the same definition, I fail to see how this image is misogynistic. And how much ya wanna bet no one would have a problem if the roles were reversed, a nude man in a clothed woman's lap? Not that the writer or others like em truly took offense, it was just an easy target. That's the point I was tryna make.

All that said, the pic's kinda nice, but way too generic. The intially reaction is surprisingly aesthetic, then ya notice you've seen the thing got thousand or times before.

@Buddy Young: Well I think a photographer is more likely to comment on an article about a photograph don't you. I think people are more drawn to the posts that speak to their area of expertise. I don't think it is unusual at all.

@ Buddy Young: I usually never reveal what I do in my personal life but merely indicated that I was a photographer to explain where my point of view derived from. I understand your skepticism since most people fabricate big time on the Internet. I just think this ad is ho hum and might have been more enticing to the eye if Mr. West had been as cheeky as the female model so to speak.

Yeah, in the back of the back my head, I was thinkin the exact same thing. Wonder why I failed to mention it? :P And compared to others, I do find Joe Blow to be quite believable, to point where I actually believe him. I didn't say it was "usual", I've just seen it so many times (and most are much, much, much, much less convincing) that I couldn't help but comment on it.
@Joe Blow
If that's the case, its my pleasure to inform you that in a Vibe mag, he expressed his desire to work out enough to pose nude one day in the coming years. I'm storing up my bomb shelter as we type.

@Buddy Young: LOL!! hope he does it while he is still well known because as the erudite Heidi Klum always says "One minute your in, the next your out" Nothing worse than a washed up celeb showing skin after the party is long over with.

I read him say he wanted to pose nude too. I'm looking forward to it. LOL
