The Duggar family sets some pretty strict rules for their kids, even when they reach their early 20s. They have their moral code and they stick to it.

Unabashedly conservative, religious and old-fashioned, their parenting – and dating – style is eye-opening to many to whom it is totally foreign.

What do we mean? Check out this list of some of the things the Duggar family doesn’t allow in their house, their lives or their collective consciousness …

They stick to their guns (literally, it turns out, and otherwise). Whether you subscribe to their methods or not, there’s no doubting the family’s authenticity.

It’s part of what’s made millions watch 19 Kids and Counting online and on TLC for the past five years. Pure, total clarity. They are who they are.

While virtually no one wants to take the above list of rules and apply it to their own lives, we’re guessing, we could learn a lot from the giant brood.

To see a family so devoted to one another and its beliefs is so refreshing in an era that sometimes makes a moral compass hard to come by.
