Brooklyn dweller Michelle Williams may want to call up Lindsay Lohan for a little bonding time. Williams' father, Larry Williams, was arrested yesterday in Australia on money laundering charges

. He's accused of creating false documents and using multiple bank accounts to hide $1.5 million in income he earned from lectures and book sales from 1999 to 2001.

Other points to note: he has run for U.S. Senate twice, is a "financial whiz," and he invented some kind of of "tax-minimization program" that only he knows about. Getting arrested totally sucks — just ask Michelle Rodriguez, who will begin serving her 60 day in a Hawaiian jail for drunk driving on May 31.

And while this news combined is not as great as a day when Lohan's dad gets arrested, or she crashes into the back of some car, it reminds us of the good old days, when celebs we actually cared about were having their lives ruined. However, if something happens to Michelle Pfeiffer we will have an official Jeff Bercovici approved trend, and then we will rejoice that the gossip has returned to our lives.
