A Jeffrey Epstein With Ties to Out & Us Weekly Who DIDN'T Pay for Underage 'Massages'

usmag0404.jpg

You know the name Jeffrey Epstein as the billionaire financier whose teenage South Beach massages got him into a little trouble with the law. But that's not the only Jeffrey Epstein whose news needs your radar! This other J.E. is the West Coast editor at Out magazine.

Well, at least he is until tomorrow.

Because beginning Monday, he'll be the West Coast entertainment editor at Us Weekly! Egads, we know, especially in the era of Ken Baker ditching his post as West Coast exec editor to helm the mag's online operations.

Epstein's farewell email to his contact list rattles off what his new duties will include, but for starters, there's: "I’ll be overseeing coverage for all LA-based premieres, press trips, junkets, parties, awards shows, launches, and the occasional bris."

So, you know, put his name on the guest list at those gifting suites and stuff.

N.B.: This leaves Out EIC Aaron Hicklin without anyone to attend L.A. photo shoots of underwear models at The Standard, so send in those 'sumes!

Subject: Moving on…

Hey everyone, wanted to let you know that I will be leaving Out effective next Thursday, April 5. I have had an incredible almost-seven-year run, but a new opportunity has presented itself that I am very excited about.

Starting Monday, April 9, I will be the new Entertainment Editor at Us Weekly for their West Coast office (sorry, LA can’t get rid of me that easily!). My new duties will include:

• Overseeing cooperative stories between networks and studios and the magazine, including the pitching and interviewing of talent, set visits, TCA, etc.
• I’ll be among the senior staff members (working with April Bernard and Bradley Jacobs in our NYC office) to discuss approaches taken to TV and film coverage.
• Breaking television and film stories including castings, hirings, firings, etc.
• Staying on top of celebrities in music, theater, books, and on DVD.
• And lastly (but not leastly) I’ll be overseeing coverage for all LA-based premieres, press trips, junkets, parties, awards shows, launches, and the occasional bris.

My new contact information will be (again, as of April 9):
Jeffrey Epstein
Entertainment Editor
Us Weekly
XXXXXX
(323) 930-XXXX
XXX@usmagazine.com
(email and phone will not be active until April 9 — but you can begin sending me snail mail now)

PLEASE update your contact lists — and your fulfillment houses — ASAP. I don’t want to miss a morsel of pop cultural goodness.

During the search for a replacement here at Out, please direct all entertainment pitches to Matthew Breen. He is now in our NYC office at: 212-209-XXXX and at XXX@planetoutinc.com. Address is: XXX, NYC 10011.

Thank you all so much for your support in my years here at Out, and I look forward to working with you soon in my new role!
