Come meet Jossip, won't you?

Welcome to Jossip Initiatives, perhaps the most lively and entertaining independent publisher on the web.
Our story has all the makings of a great dinner party tale: The company was founded by David Hauslaib in 2003 – back when it was less a "company" and more a "way to earn beer money" – when he was still a journalism student. (Which, yes, means Jossip began in his dorm room.) David put himself on the path to enter the magazine industry, launching Jossip.com as a vehicle to get his name out there to the right editors — the editors who might hire him.
And while he landed plenty of first interviews, it became clear a few months into printing resumes that the only reason he was being called into the offices of major publishers was to do what he did best: gossip about the media industry. It wasn't long after this revelation that David decided to make Jossip a full-time effort. His "job," if you will.
Years later, Jossip is still running strong as an authority on the media and celebrity industries. And it's been given a younger brother, too! In the fall of 2005, David launched the award-winning gay lifestyle blog Queerty, a must-read for the queer community.
The blogs under the Jossip Initiatives umbrella now reach over three million individual readers every month, attracting some of the most influential visitors (news anchors, magazine editors) to the most inquisitive (students, bloggers).

Publishing more than one title gives us a bigger readership, and you a greater reach

Jossip
Jossip is the flagship title, zeroing in on where the celebrity and media industries intersect. With a Manhattan skew, Jossip reaches culture mavens who set the agenda for the rest of us: magazine editors and newspaper reporters, celebrity and brand publicists, news anchors and TV producers, advertising execs and media buyers, bloggers, and students. It is a daily must-read for members of the media elite, entertainment establishment, and celebrity grindhouse.
Jossip. The gossip's gossip sheet.

Queerty
Queerty is the gay blog. There's just no other way to say it. With its sharp eye for news, entertainment, shopping, fashion, and travel for the GLBT community, Queerty reaches an audience of upwardly mobile gay men and women who have long since abandoned traditional (and staid) gay media. When it comes to independent gay media, Queerty is at the top — which explains why the public awarded Queerty the Best GLBT Blog honor at the 2006 Bloggies.
Queerty. Free of an agenda. Except that gay one.

People often say things about us (some are even good)
On Jossip, our worst kept secret is that we're our own best public relations tool. Do you know what happens when you lavish attention on people in the media? People in the media lavish attention on you!
Which might explain why our team of editors have been guests on, among others, MSNBC, CNN, E!, Fox News, ABC News, and Sirius Satellite Radio, as well as interviewed as experts in documentaries.
We've been profiled by New York magazine, Wired, and Playboy, and have appeared in Vanity Fair, Time, the New York Times, Page Six, the Washington Post, Business Week, Women's Wear Daily, the New York Daily News, The Hollywood Reporter, Associated Press, and Advertising Age, among others.
As you can tell, we measure our self worth in whether other people think we're important!
