Afghan Feminists Beaten with Rocks Today

Afghan women protesting a law preventing them from charging their husbands with rape were pelted with rocks in Kabul today. It was all a great reminder of how well our eight-year-old war to bring democracy to Afghanistan is going.

Imagine what we could have accomplished in this country if we had not wasted 1.7 Trillion dollars on Iraq. We could have caught Osama bin Ladin defeated Al Queda brought some relief to the anti-women and children violence. We also could have saved a lot of American lives. Sad.

Bullshit we could've saved a lot of American lives. We weren't going to catch Bin Laden in Afghanistan, and we aren't now. We've been doing in Afghanistan exactly what we've been doing in Iraq — occupying it and propping up a democracy in an area of the world that is BATSHIT CRAZY and not ready for it.
