Ashton and Demi Take Twitter Credit For Preventing a Pretend-Suicide

Well, we all saw this one coming (no we didn't). With all the press about Ashton and Demi being the only true celeb Twitterers out there, you knew it was only a matter of time till someone went crazy…real crazy, and started sending insane Tweets to the Ghost star and her man-child husband.

Known only by her Twitter username, "Sandieguy," the Silicon Valley, Calif., resident wrote a message to Moore early Friday morning detailing the way in which she was planning to take her life.
"Getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn't waste time," Sandieguy wrote at approximately 3 a.m. PT.
After the original threat was posted by the woman who's Twitter profile placed her in the Silicon Valley area, Moore re-posted the message on her own page, saying, "hope you are joking."
Other users quickly sprung to action, flooding the San Jose Police Department with calls reporting the threat.
"We located the subject and that person was uninjured," Thomas said. "We did take the person into custody for evaluation."

So nobody tried to commit suicide, Demi Moore had nothing to do with it (in the sense that SHE didn't call the police, other people following her Twitter did), and this is about as far from the "Demi Moore saves suicidal woman's life" headline that everyone is promoting as humanely possible.

Yet then Ashton updates his own Twitter, ""Wifey reported a suicide attempt based on a at reply tweet she got and saved someones life. the woman is in the hospital now." God, I hate that guy and his constant usage of the word "wifey."

It???s Your Pity Party ??? Don???t Invite Me In

The thing about Attention Suckers/Seekers is that they don???t distinct between Positive Attention or Negative Attention. As long as someone, anyone, pays them ANY attention??? they are content.

Take for example the woman that went on Twitter last night and for hours preyed on Demi Moore???s compassion, sucking the whole Twitiverse into her being allegedly suicidal, right down to the ???getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn't waste time.???

That message came after days of whining that she can twit whatever she wants cuz no one cares anyway. Then dropping hints she was going to kill herself and then when no one responded, she twitted to Demi Moore and asked her ???I'm just wondering if anyone cares that I'm gonna kill myself now.???

When that one went unanswered she simply went for the ???big sharp knife??? message.

While I believe that the woman (who uses a guy???s name by the way) was hurting and probably lonely, I am completely outraged by her behavior. Lady, if you need help call 911. Do NOT suck the entire world into feeling sorry for you. If you want to be on a pity party ??? don???t invite us in.

It???s absolutely heartwarming to witness the compassion and caring for others showed by Demi Moore and others while the alleged crisis was going on. Demi did the right thing by responding to that woman???s messages and others on Twitter did the absolutely correct thing by calling the San Jose Police Department who took that person for observation.

But the bottom line is ??? that woman won ??? she got us all to give her some attention. And that Sucks!

BFD. Mrs. Kutcher did what she needed to do and the message got through, didn't it?

Yeh. I agree that the suicidal nutcase bat should have spared the Twitterverse her problems. But she didn't. Guess what … you don't make all the rules, after all. Tough. Deal with it.

Fine. Demi saved a life. How many have YOU saved, Davie boy? How 'bout you, Other Readers?

@Jerald Rom:

this is not about whether Demi Moore saved the life or not. She acted perfectly with compassion and wisdom. the problem is the nutcase who sucked for attention and got it.
