The Harry Potter lawsuit currently making its way through New York courtroom testimony is nothing if not a tearfest. Author J.K. Rowling and film distributor Warner Bros. are suing publisher RDR, which wants to print Steven Jan Vander Ark’s encyclopedic Harry Potter Lexicon, a print companion to Ark’s website of the same name, which explains all those made up words from the bestseller. But the real story here is all the breaking down on the witness stand.
On Monday, it was Rowling’s turn … or almost: She “came to the edge of tears” and had to “regain her composure” during testimony. “It’s very difficult for someone who is not a writer to understand,” she told the court. “The closest I can come is to say to someone, ‘How do you feel about your child?’”
It was Vander Ark’s turn: “Then he burst out crying. ‘Sorry,’ he said, regaining his composure. ‘It’s been difficult because there’s been a lot of criticism, obviously, and that was never the intention.’”

I think if she wins many fans will suffer when she starts closing websites and fanfics like James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper. James Potter and the Curse of the Gatekeeper is the sequel to James Potter and the Hall of Elders’ Crossing, a cover-novel by G. Norman Lippert, inspired by the worlds and characters of J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter books.
I love the books and the world she created but maybe she should have hired him along time ago and she could have controlled the books prossess.
So when it was out there for free, she loved it…let the guy try to make a couple of bucks (as opposed to her billions) and she’s in court weeping? Give me a break. I’m so glad I never got into this Harry Potter crap. Never read one and never will.
I think this guy should leave j.k.rowling alone all he is after is her money this is bullshit, she made a-lot of money from the books and the movies let her write her stories in peace and leave her be. a huge fan of j.k. rowling
