Atoosa Rubenstein Shocks Tween Fan-Club By Taking 'Totally Boring' Columnist Gig At Forbes.com

Since leaving Seventeen magazine, former EIC Atoosa Rubenstein's path has not been entirely clear. The curly-haired editrix has been plugging her new, psychedelic website, blogging about her repressive youth and maintaining her throngs of adoring teenage fans by diligently updating her MySpace.

And now come reports that Rubenstein has been named as the latest Forbes.com columnist. 'But wait,' you wonder. 'Have Atoosa's encyclopedic knowledge of leggings, adolescent slang, and underage heartthrobs prepared her for this milestone?'

Fortunately, WWD has the answer!

Perhaps through entertaining statements such as: "My corporate sugar daddy gave me a lot of cool things: a car and driver, a clothing allowance and a sick expense account. But I also had to pretend I was excited making love to an old man every night."

In other words, absolutely.*

And, given Atoosa's unrestrained candor, relatable witticisms and endearing vulnerability, we predict it's only a matter of a time before the billionaire set** become as devoted as her obsessed fleet of teen stalkers followers.

Oh, and Atoosa—when Steve Forbes inevitably attempts to "friend" you on MySpace? Make him sweat a little before accepting his new friend request. Bill Gates—the "George Clooney" of the billionaires club—swears Forbes "totally hates that."

* Just be sure you don't go alienating that ever-important gold-digging trophy wife demographic!
**And their obedient wives.

She sucks. All she did was turn Seventeen into a version of Teen People (under its founding editors — not in that weird ghetto phase it went through.)
