Barack Obama to Appear on Daily Show Wednesday, Coolest President Candidate Ever
Or: why ABC will be the only ones left out of the Obama love-in tommorow

Barack Obama is making a repeat appearance on The Daily Show this Wednesday guys!

The interview, combined with the highly anticipated(?) 30 minute infomercials Obama bought time for on NBC, Fox, and CBS tomorrow, means that ABC is the only major network (besides the CW, which only counts if you are voting Chuck Bass for prez) not featuring anything Obama related in their prime-time lineup.

So what possible reason is there for ABC not airing a Barack-tastic Wednesday?

ABC offered the slot, but was turned down. Possible reasons? Maybe Obama wanted to give ABC's Pushing Daisies a chance to play on the station without any other entertainment competition from other networks?

Or perhaps the commercial spots weren't being offered for cheap enough: NBC and CBS especially were striking a particularly generous deal with Barack to take away half an hour of lucrative ad time, which they sort of had to, due to the federal law that requires political candidates to be provided the "lowest unit cost" for airtime on a broadcast network (different from cable).

And: long shot, but Obama's camp could plausibly still be miffed at the Democratic debate moderator Charlie Gibson, who did a horrible job mascotting for ABC. Perhaps Team Obama didn't want to fork over even the slightest amount to the alphabet station after that slight.

Though from what we've seen so far, pulling your image from a station is way more of a John McCain move than a Obama one.

In honesty I'm ecstatic that Barack won't be on ABC. I've had it up to my eyeballs with reality, I would not be pleased to be force fed yet another heaping dose of the stuff instead of getting my so desperately needed candy coated necromantic fix!

Obama definitely has the deepest pockets of any president err - candidate ever. I get one or two flyers a day from him for the last month, 24hr channel on DishNetwork, and the 30-minute prime time commercial on CBS and NBC this week.

They turned it down because ABC waited TWO WEEKS (until THE DAY BEFORE) to give their answer to the Obama Campaign's requests.

By the time they answered, the money was re-allocated. They couldn't just sit on a million bucks indefinitely!

Obama is appearing today on ABC with Charlie Gibson in an interview. Maybe he just wanted to give the network a break from Obama-mania.

Barack you are a good man,and i know you are going to stand behind your word and give us the change we need. Its not about having a black man for president, its about having someone in the white house who is going to serve our country with greatness and i know that you are going to do that for us.

Speaking of Barack Obama:

Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.
