On tomorrow's Today (too early for brain to comprehend!), Michelle and Barack Obama will sit down with Meredith Vieira. Here is why that is a stupid, stupid idea:

Yesterday's denunciation of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright may have been a necessary step, since the Clinton machine failed to let her competitor's ties to the radical religious figure die down. But it comes with its cons — namely, the news cycle last night and all of today is already already dominated by the names "Obama-Wright," and that is not exactly the talking point Barack should be encouraging moving forward. By appearing on Today, and possibly other major outlets, he and his wife are inviting America to spend the rest of the week, and even the weekend, analyzing the relationship between the two, instead of focusing on how John McCain's health care plan isn't worth wiping your ass with, an activity we'd only recommend for those American's with health care coverage.
