Big Brother Continues to Be Publicity Boon for CBS
But where are the racists, homophobes, and misogynists?

Just after getting slammed by the Parents Television Council for the serial killer-championing series Dexter, CBS is getting crap from autism advocacy group Autism United for airing a scene from Big Brother 9 that has contestant Adam calling people with autism, who he supposedly works with, "retards."

CBS is accused of airing the scene in a shameless attempt at generating publicity and, thus, ratings. CBS says not so, and that the reaction from fellow contestant Sheila – who told him, "Don't call them that" – balanced the situation.

And as we all know, it's wise to trust CBS's sense of decency.
