While Chace Crawford deals with industry backlash for switching agencies and trying to get more money out of his breakout role in the ratings disaster show Gossip Girl, two of his co-stars are dealing with SCANDALS OF THEIR OWN: skipping out on charity events they RSVP'd for but didn't show up to.
Blake Lively and Penn Badgley were no-shows for the Kick It to Malaria! soccer tourney on Tuesday. Organizers thought they had the Gossip lovers and co-stars on lock for the 300 kids expecting them.
Except whoever "confirmed" their attendance wasn't in any way connected to the pair, insist the people who would know these things.
RushMo reports somebody has been signing the twosome up for events without their knowledge or consent. Says Lively's rep: "She would never lend her name if she wasn't able to attend. There's something fishy going on."
And the flack has a decent explanation for why she couldn't have agreed to show up: "Blake is never allowed to be RSVPed for events during the week because she's filming" the show.
Oh really?
Because on July 28 — a Monday, which is a day that occurs "during the week" — we spotted Lively at the New York premiere for her film Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. And the Monday four days ago, Lively managed to get to TRL.
So it's not entirely true that filming always keeps her away from special events. Try again.

Maybe Penn was having a bad hair day. Oh wait. Penn has lost most of his hair. Scratch that.
Anyone else think Blake may be in her thirties? She looks old to me and is developing a double chin.
Shut about blake & penn!!!
Blake is so PRETTY!
Penn & Blake r so cute together!! :)
And,
I would think they would show to event if they knew it was going on and they woud been there. I know they wouldn't mean to upset the kids…. Knowing blake she seem to down to earth… i love her.
