Fox News Disses Ron Paul

Don’t tell the dog, but Fox News has acknowledged that despite the innovative and unique stances Ron Paul has taken, he’s not going to be president. And the network has not invited him to speak at their GOP candidate forum in New Hampshire on Sunday.

Fox’s reasoning is simple: They only invited candidates who are polling at least 10 percent. Duncan Hunter of California of California was also left out. [Ed; Duncan who?]

A Ron Paul spokesman said it was "big mistake" to leave out the candidate who had 3 percent support in nationwide poll conduct in December 14-20 by The Associated Press and Yahoo.
Indeed, a campaign with a fundraising base that doesn't understand modern polling and a blimp shouldn’t be trifled with.

Are you serious?

This is out and out censorship. FauxNews is nothing but propaganda and if they can't control the message, they don't want you around.

To the writer, get a clue!

They also invited Fred Thompson, who is not polling 10% in New Hampshire and who trails Paul. Paul's exclusion would not be an issue if Thompson had also been excluded.

And if we are going to exclude from debates anyone who "won't be President", then there really is no need to hold Republican debates at all, now is there? None of the declared Republican candidates will be elected President in 2008. Period.

The only poll that counts is the actual vote and we haven't had a single primary yet and the field is wide open. This race is wide open right now and RP has the money, the blimp, and the 100,000+ strong RP Legion of Doom on the Internet. Let's face it, Fox News is neither fair or balanced, but just wants a bunch of Five "Yes neocon-men" to say blah, blah, blah I'm a warmonger and I don't believe in the constitution and states rights. Last thing Fox News wants is another Ron Paul, "Read the friggin constitution" soundbite to Slick Romney, Aldolf Guililini, or Huckleberry Pile before the New Hampshire primary. I have met very few Republicans that support the other guys and they are neither passionate or excited about their candidate. First us Reagan Youth will take back our Republican Party from the Neoconmen and Religious Right Fanatics that has hijacked the party and our country. They'll just have to find their own party.

What's this? A dog with more sense than a Fox?

('Modern polling': Paul consistently wins even Fox's own "text message" polls, so Fox ignores its own public, gets a roomful of handpicked anti-Paul stooges to quietly frown on camera when asked if Paul won, and then promotes a bunch of polls which basically do the same thing as the in-studio 'poll' but (allegedly) with telephones).

The "modern" polling that you speak of is not so modern. Most of the people that I know don't even have land line phones in their home anymore. The ones that do use them for internet and don't even have a phone plugged into the jack. Cell phones have replaced them. Now you take those "modern" polls where Ron Paul is polling at 9% now (in Iowa), plus the yet to be counted cell users, the first time voters, and the ones who switched parties, then we will see where Dr. Paul really stands!
Oh, and how can Fox say that "he is not going to be President" before a single vote is cast? Do they know something that most of America has yet to wake up to? That the winner has already been decided by a few and it doesn't matter what the vote count really is? I don't know of any other reason why they would be so sure.
Oh, but lets think back, they were also so sure that the Dems wouldn't win in 2006 and they were dead wrong about that!
