Bloomberg's Audi Didn't Come With PR Insurance

Mayor Bloomberg isn't getting much crap for hobnobbing with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but his appearance at an Audi event last week – where he was photographed test driving a $130k A8 – is raising eyebrows higher than Lisa Rinna's plastic surgeon ever could. That's because Bloomberg's attendance came at the request of his equestrian daughter Georgina, who has a one-year deal with the automaker to sport its clothes in exchange for a year's use of a 2007 Audi A7. The mayor's office didn't tell anyone about that little business arrangement, and now, naturally, his foes say the interest should've been made public. Then again, Audi did pay the city $110,000 to close off the streets for its event, and at the very least that cashed check should come with a Bloomberg photo op. If politicos aren't for sale, where else will corporations direct funds?
